Summary
A fabric tent for one LCD or MSLA resin printer that keeps dust and small spills contained and ships with a fan, carbon sheet and hose to vent outside. It is cheap and compact, but the bundled USB fan is the part owners complain about most.
Strengths
- Keeps dust and small resin spills off a single printer and lets you watch a print through the clear window without opening it.
- The kit ships with a fan, carbon sheet, mesh filter, flange, clamp and hose, so there is less shopping before you can vent.
- A clear front window helps you catch a failed print or a spill without opening the zipper.
- At 18 in wide and 17 in deep it fits smaller one-printer setups where a full grow tent would waste shelf space.
- The shell is adaptable: owners have run several tents off one duct fan, and one replaced the stock fan with a 221 m³/h inline unit.
- A tent this size can be a base for better extraction once you add a properly sized inline fan and a window outlet.
Weaknesses
- The bundled 5 V USB fan is the most-criticised part: owners report fans that never spun and a weak PC-style fan that cannot pull fumes through a window route.
- No airflow, static-pressure or noise figure is published, so a visibly spinning fan does not prove the tent pulls fumes outside.
- Hood-open clearance is tighter than the closed printer size: a Saturn 4 Ultra 16K owner calculated about 29 in for a machine about 19.9 in tall, beyond the 28 in tent.
- The fabric and cable ports are not a sealed containment cabinet, and the carbon sheet is thin with no certified HEPA rating or published breakthrough life.
- Marketing claims of “fireproof” material and 95% UV blocking are untested for this exact model.
- The direct listing shows a “Notify Me When Available” button, so an advertised price does not guarantee stock.

Fit and printer compatibility
YOOPAI advertises the tent for Anycubic Photon Mono, ELEGOO Mars/Saturn and Creality Halot families. Those families vary a lot in height and in how the cover opens, so a printer that fits closed may still not open its hood inside. A March 2026 owner of a Saturn 4 Ultra 16K calculated roughly 29 in of clearance with the hood up for a machine about 19.9 in tall in operation, which is more than the tent’s 28 in height. Measure your printer at its tallest point, with the resin cover hinged open, before you buy.
Ventilation and the bundled fan
The kit includes a 5 V USB fan, a thin carbon sheet and a mesh filter, and the maker’s own listing warns you to test the fan before assembly and not to overtighten its screws, because the housing can deform and stop the fan working. Owners in r/resinprinting report fans that never spun and one that was thought dead until an overtightened screw was loosened. A February 2025 owner said the stock fan was too weak to pull fumes through a window route; a March 2026 owner replaced it with a Hon&Guan fan rated 221 m³/h and said the tent held negative pressure. No CFM or static-pressure curve is published for the stock fan, so a visible spin is not proof of extraction. If the fan does not run, do not assume the printer is ventilated.
Running costs and parts
There is no app, subscription or active heater, so the main running cost is fan electricity. Budgeting 2 W of continuous input at 20 hours a week and $0.20 per kWh gives about 2.08 kWh and $0.42 a year for the stock USB fan. An 18 W inline fan would use about 18.72 kWh and $3.74 a year at the same hours, and its 35 W maximum would be about 36.4 kWh and $7.28 a year if held there. YOOPAI publishes no filter SKU or change interval, so a carbon-sheet replacement budget is unknown. YOOPAI’s US store lists the enclosure at $69.99, with free shipping and 3 to 7 business days, and takes standard returns within 14 days in unused condition.
Is it worth it?
At the $69.99 asking price the tent is fair if you want a compact shell and can vent outside, but it is not a discount. ELEGOO’s own resin enclosure kit is $59.99 with a fan and duct, so the YOOPAI only makes sense if the fit and the return terms suit you. The upgrade path is where the money goes: adding an AC Infinity CLOUDLINE A4 at $79.99, a 4-in × 8-ft Everbilt duct at $12.29 and Nashua foil tape at $13.98 brings the project to $176.25 before tax, window plate, adapter and mounting hardware. A bigger YOOPAI enclosure with an LED and thermo-hygrometer is listed at $69.99 too, at 29.5 × 25.6 × 21.6 in, but it is aimed at FDM and its resin-ventilation claims are unverified.
Which model this is
This page covers YOOPAI’s compact resin enclosure with ventilation, the single-space fabric tent for LCD and MSLA printers. Do not confuse it with the larger YOOPAI Premium FDM enclosure, which has a different shell, an LED light and a thermo-hygrometer.
