Summary
A collapsible fabric tent with an LED light, thermo-hygrometer and a small ventilation fan for open-frame printers like the Creality Ender 3, built to cut drafts and give you somewhere to route exhaust outside. Confirm the “with Ventilation Kit” configuration before paying: the brand’s catalog and product detail pages disagree on price, and some YOOPAI tents have an exhaust opening but no fan.
Strengths
- The 750 mm of headroom swallows Ender- and Neptune-class printers with room left for an overhead spool holder.
- Light, meter and a fan-ready vent opening come in one package most owners would otherwise assemble piece by piece.
- Owners have coupled the tent to their own inline fans and window ducts, routing air outside.
- Folds down for storage and moves between printers more easily than a plywood or metal cabinet.
- Passive draft protection helps ABS and ASA attempts in cold rooms, per independent enclosure guidance.
Weaknesses
- “Fireproof” and “filters harmful fumes” are marketing copy; no independent fire, filtration or electrical safety certification exists for this product.
- The bundled fan is small — one owner called it a very small fan — and no CFM, static pressure or noise figure is published for it.
- Fiberglass rods can shed splinters, and one reviewer’s duct had sharp exposed reinforcement wire that cut their hands during installation.
- Every zipper opening for prints, bed moves or filament changes releases the trapped warm air and whatever particles accumulated.
- Warm chambers can cause PLA heat creep, while continuous exhaust can cool an ABS or ASA print enough to warp — the two goals fight each other.
Verified specifications
| Configuration | sold as “3-Medium with Ventilation Kit”; other tents in the range may have an exhaust opening with no fan or duct. |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | 29.5 × 25.6 × 21.6 in (750 × 650 × 550 mm) external and nominal, not a proven unobstructed printing envelope. |
| Weight | about 5.7 lb (2.59 kg), tent plus included accessories. |
| Cover | black flexible fabric on lightweight fiberglass rods; the retailer describes flame-retardant fabric, metal and plastic, but no authenticated fire test covers the assembled product. |
| Lighting | LED illumination included; no published lumens, wattage or replacement strip part number. |
| Meter | thermo-hygrometer reading air temperature and relative humidity, powered by one LR44 button cell, included. |
| Ventilation | the kit configuration includes a fan and hose per the product title and manufacturer copy; the manufacturer publishes no fan size, 12 V current, CFM, hose diameter, hose length or filter details. |
| Access | zippered fabric front window plus side service and duct openings; no airtight seal class is advertised. |
| Heating | no integrated heater, thermostat, humidifier or dehumidifier; the tent holds some of the printer’s own waste heat. |
| Compatibility | YOOPAI lists Ender 3/Pro/V2/Neo/S1, Ender Max, Ender 5, Anycubic Kobra/Mega and ELEGOO Neptune families — measure every axis including the spool holder before buying. |
| In the box | enclosure and rods, LED light, thermo-hygrometer with an LR44 cell, plus the fan, hose and fittings of the Ventilation Kit as itemized by the seller’s packing list. |

Ventilation, heat and drafts
The kit’s fan and hose are the point of this configuration, but the manufacturer publishes no fan size, current, CFM, hose length or filter specs. A July 2024 owner described their extractor as a very small fan, with the exhaust exiting roughly two feet to outdoors and a filament-routing opening left open — the question they raised was particle escape through that gap. A February 2026 thread shows a buyer whose YOOPAI tent had no fan at all and bought a separate BoRui kit — evidence of variant confusion, not proof this SKU lacks a fan. Confirm the itemized packing list before paying.
Airflow cuts both ways. Warm still air reduces shrinkage warping and layer cracks in ABS and ASA, so continuous outside exhaust can undercut the anti-warp benefit; the same warmth can soften PLA higher up the feed and cause heat-creep jams. An October 2026 r/FlashForge discussion warned that an oversized wrap can heat electronics designed for room-air cooling — different printers, not an Ender 3 finding, but a real integration risk: watch chamber temperature, board and PSU ventilation, and move an externally rated power supply out of warm air only if your printer’s documentation allows it. The thermo-hygrometer reads chamber air, not board temperature, and the advertised “noise reduction” is unmeasured. If you exhaust outside, the hose needs a real outside endpoint — a hose routed back into the same room with no specified filtration is not source capture. NIOSH identifies enclosed, ventilated racks exhausting outdoors as a particle-control strategy, and one owner’s added inline fan drew enough outside air that they needed a mosquito screen on the intake.
Fire safety and build quality
The retailer’s flame-retardant fabric claim covers the material, not the assembled tent with its stitching, clear window, zippers, frame, LED wiring and hose. A printer is an electrical heating appliance, so do not run an unsafe or unattended printer on the assumption that the tent will contain a fire.
Owner reports carry the build warnings. Wear work gloves, don’t force rods, and check duct ends for protruding wire.
Running costs, parts and warranty
There is no subscription and no fuel; the printer’s own bed and hotend draw continues whether it is enclosed or not. Fan and LED wattage is unpublished, so the electricity figure is an illustration: assume 8 W combined, running 20 hours a week at $0.20 per kWh, and the year costs about 8.32 kWh, or $1.66; at an assumed 20 W it would be $4.16. The worked example from the research puts a first year at $95.54 — the $69.99 catalog enclosure plus $1.66 assumed power plus $23.89 of optional supplies — rising to $125.55 at the $100.00 detail-page figure.
Consumables are thin but real. If your window route needs them, a 3 in × 8 ft aluminum duct is $9.11 at Home Depot and Nashua foil tape (1.89 in × 50 yd) is $14.78 there — a potential $23.89 of materials, with fit to the YOOPAI outlet unconfirmed and no fire-protection value. Rods, fan, LED strip, zipper and hose have no published replacement part numbers, prices or intervals; no carbon filter or HEPA cartridge is listed, so “filtering harmful fumes” has no consumable behind it.
YOOPAI’s warranty policy requires a receipt, a written fault description and photos or videos, with contact through support@yoopai.com before any return — but it states no warranty period for this enclosure. US returns run 14 days after receipt for unused goods in original packaging, with return shipping deducted and initial shipping charges not refunded. Ask for written coverage terms on rods, fan and LED before ordering.
Is it worth it?
YOOPAI’s US catalog lists the kit at $69.99 with free shipping advertised, while the same product’s detail page showed $100.00 during research — do not assume the catalog price survives checkout. A June 2026 eBay listing showed $80.42 with free shipping, but its delivery dates were a stale snapshot, not proof of stock. A used LED-only YOOPAI tent sat at $49.99 on a third-party marketplace with the ventilation kit sold separately. Creality’s own Multifunction Enclosure Small is $71.99 at the Creality US store, and whether that configuration includes a fan or LED is unconfirmed. SUNLU’s basic tent at the same nominal size showed €26.99 sold out on its European store. At or under $45 the kit is excellent if everything is physically in the box; $46–60 is good if the fan works; $61–75 is fair at the catalog price if the ventilation kit is explicitly included. Above $90 a soft tent is poor value — a DIY enclosure with a specified, tested extract system becomes the sensible alternative. Do not pay a “fireproof” premium for a tent.
Which model this is
This page covers the YOOPAI Premium Enclosure in the “3-Medium with Ventilation Kit” configuration — an accessory tent, not a printer, a heated chamber or YOOPAI’s separate resin enclosure. A third-party listing gives the optional identifier P-1 and UPC 850055848696. The matching US listing is ASIN B0CKNZ27ZR. Match the configuration and the size on the seller’s page before ordering: the tents differ by fan, duct and light, and prices vary by listing view.
