Summary
A 5.7-inch cordless water flosser built for travel, with five pressure modes, four rotating nozzles and a claimed 30-day battery. Check the tank capacity before you buy: the manufacturer never states it in millilitres and no independent test has measured it.
Strengths
- Five modes run from a gentle 30 PSI Child setting to 130 PSI Strong, and the unit remembers the last mode used.
- Four 360-degree nozzles (2 standard, 1 orthodontic, 1 tongue cleaner) with storage built into the top.
- The detachable wide-mouth tank has a filter and is described as easy to clean, refill and dry.
- Battery level reads out on the mode lights with a long-press of the M button.
- IPX7 for shower use, and a travel pouch is in the box.
- The manufacturer states a 2-year warranty and 30-day returns on the product pages.
Weaknesses
- No independent test of this model exists; Wirecutter, ElectricTeeth and Dental Roundup all cover competitors without it.
- The manufacturer never states the tank capacity in millilitres, so it cannot be compared with other cordless flossers.
- Owner discussion specific to the Y826 is effectively absent from Reddit and forums.
- The 30-day battery claim is given without the usage assumption behind it.
- The 99.3%, 47% and 53% figures are manufacturer marketing with no published method or protocol.
- No replacement-part catalogue, nozzle pricing or downloadable manual is published for this model.

Full research notes and sources
Modes, nozzles and the travel kit
The Y826 is a palm-sized irrigator: 5.7 inches long and 0.4 lb, which the manufacturer calls lighter than most smartphones and small enough for a toiletry bag or backpack. The five modes are Child at 30 PSI, Soft at 60 PSI, Pulse at 80–120 PSI, Normal at 106 PSI and Strong at 130 PSI, and a long-press on the M button turns the mode lights into a battery readout: five lights is 100%, four is 80%, and a red light means low battery. A memory function restores the last mode used.
The stream is 0.65 mm at 1,400–1,800 pulses per minute. The box holds four 360-degree nozzles — two standard, one orthodontic and one tongue cleaner — plus a travel pouch and a USB-C charging cable. The orthodontic tip and the rotating nozzles are aimed at braces wearers. The detachable wide-mouth tank carries an upgraded filter and stores the nozzles at the top; the manufacturer says it cleans and dries without limescale buildup.
What the box does not include is a published capacity. The pages describe the tank as telescopic, detachable and wide-mouth but never give a figure in millilitres, and no other page read for this review supplies one. A 180 ml figure circulates in marketplace copy only, and the closest travel-class competitor with a published figure is the COSLUS T40 at 180 mL, so treat any capacity number for the Y826 as unverified.
The missing measurements
No instrumented independent test of the Y826 was found. Wirecutter has tested 21 water-flosser models since 2018 and recommends the Waterpik Ion Professional, Waterpik Aquarius, Philips Sonicare Cordless Power Flosser 3000 and AquaSonic Precision; the WAFLOO is not in the guide or its competition section. ElectricTeeth, which buys and tests each flosser it covers, recommends the Waterpik Aquarius, Cordless Advanced, Cordless Slide Professional, ION, the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 and the Bitvae C5; again no WAFLOO. Dental Roundup’s portable guide states it did not test its six picks hands-on and names COSLUS, Waterpik, Nicwell, Philips and MySmile products, not the Y826.
The only third-party list that includes it is One Clear Winner’s travel roundup, where the Y826 sits sixth of ten with a score of 8.8 out of 10 and the product description is WAFLOO’s own bullet copy, including the 99.3%, 47% and 53% claims and the 1,000-hour aging-test line. That is one manufacturer’s marketing seen three times, not three measurements.
Owner evidence is thin to the point of absent. The Reddit threads that surfaced on cordless travel flossers discuss Waterpik, Sonicare, Burst, Oclean, Panasonic, Oralfree and quip, and the recurring theme is that established brands carry better warranty and support. No WAFLOO-specific thread was found, so there is no usable failure history for this model.
Warranty, support and running costs
The manufacturer prints a 2-year warranty, 30-day returns and free shipping on every Y826 page, and lists $19.98 on its own store.
The warranty page is a registration form rather than a terms document: it asks for an order ID from Amazon or Walmart, states the warranty is valid for products bought on those platforms, and sends buyers from other channels to contact support. No exclusions or claim procedure are published. That makes the 30-day return window the practical safety net, since there is no independent test data to fall back on.
The support channel is thin. WAFLOO lists a support email, a US number, a Canada number and weekday hours, but no parts catalogue, nozzle pricing or downloadable manual for this model. The filter is described as replaceable but has no part number or price, and no nozzle or accessory pricing was found. For a unit at $19.98 that is a reasonable trade, though a failure outside the 30-day window leaves the buyer registering a warranty and hoping.
Category risks are worth holding in mind. Wirecutter says flossers across the category tend to leak, lose strength or stop working unexpectedly and recommends choosing a model with a warranty.
Is it worth it?
At $19.98 direct from the manufacturer, with a stated 2-year warranty and 30-day returns, this is a defensible buy for a traveller who wants a backup flosser in a bag and will return it if the experience is poor. It is not a defensible primary bathroom flosser, and above roughly $25 it stops making sense next to tested budget portables such as the AquaSonic Precision, which Wirecutter says has a stream comparable to its $70 Philips portable pick but is heavier and harder to clean.
Keep the box, use the 30-day window, and treat every performance number on the box as a claim rather than a measurement.
Which model this is
This page covers the WAFLOO Travel Water Flosser, model Y826, sold as WFY826W-KYJ-US in white, WFY826GN-KYJ-US in green and WFY826B-KYJ-US in black. Retailers use different wording for the same model; the Amazon listing is ASIN B0FB8JX2QN.
