UREVO Strol 2E: problems, parts and running costs
Checked: 2026-10-19
Summary
Owners’ complaints cluster on the short 40.2-inch belt and on belt maintenance: squeak after oiling, belt-centering trouble, and one first-use motor failure with a burning smell and error E02. At $189.99 (October 2026) it is a strong buy for under-desk walking and light jogging; above $280 the short belt is hard to justify.
Common problems and fixes
- Motor failure with burning smell and error E02 — one owner’s first use ended after 0.11 km in 2 minutes with a jerking belt. UREVO’s support pages for sibling models advise lubricating under the belt on both sides, idling 5–10 minutes, then letting the unit sit a day; US warranty terms are unconfirmed, while EU storefronts advertise a 1-year plus 180-day extended warranty. [8][11][6][7]
- Belt slipping or shaking — the most common maintenance issue in UREVO’s guidance: small quarter-turn belt adjustments (the belt edge should lift 2–3 in off the deck), keep the belt centered, and fix a slipping belt promptly because ignoring it risks burning out the motor. [10][7]
- Handlebar shake and bouncing device holder at speed — T3 reports both unless the handlebars are thoroughly tightened. [4]
- No long-term reliability data — testers ran the pad for two to three weeks with nothing damaged, two-year durability is unknown, and unit weight is reported as 47.2 lb by UREVO but 58.64 lb by Live Science. [1][2][4]
Parts and consumables
Yearly running cost
Not enough data for an annual figure. There are no consumables beyond the silicone lubricant, no subscription for the app, and no electricity cost is published for this model, so a typical owner’s yearly spend is essentially the cost of the lubricant.
When it is a good buy
- At $200 or less it is a strong buy: Pad & Pace listed $189.99 in October 2026, matching UREVO’s US checkout. [1][5]
- $201–280 is fair; T3 tested a $279.99 unit in August 2024 and still recommended it, but prices have since fallen. [4][2]
- Above $280 is weak for this model; the manufacturer itself positions it as a walking and light-jogging machine. [1][5]
- In the UK it lists at £189.99 (HomeTreadmill.co.uk, February 2026) and £190 after 21% off (Runner’s World UK, May 2026). [13][3]
