Problems, parts and running costs

Summary

Check which revision you are buying: older units have physical buttons, a micro-USB port and no app, while newer ones add touch controls, Bluetooth 5.3 and an EQ app.

Strengths

  • IPX8 on the earbuds and case, with owners reporting showers, washing machines, rain and a hot tub.
  • A wireless-charging case, which RTINGS calls very rare at this price.
  • Owners report pairs still working after three to seven years of hard use.
  • Strong bass for the money; one owner says it beats earbuds costing several times more.
  • Quick, stable Bluetooth connection and a comfortable in-ear fit for everyday wear.
  • Cheap enough to buy spares, and some owners keep several pairs.

Weaknesses

  • No active noise cancelling, only passive isolation.
  • The microphone is the most-criticised feature; owners call it unusable for calls.
  • Per-charge battery is short and inconsistent, measured at 3.5 hours on the older unit.
  • Fit is uncomfortable for some, and one owner reports ear-skin irritation after a year.
  • The model name hides several revisions, so app, controls and sound vary by unit.
  • No wired mode, no multipoint and latency too high for gaming.

Which revision you are buying

One name covers several units, and the buyer cannot tell from a listing which one will arrive. RTINGS tested a black pair with physical push buttons, no app and a micro-USB port, rated it 7.8 and called it passable. Two owners report the re-sold pair sounds worse and fits worse than the pair they originally bought.

Battery life and charging

Per-charge endurance is the weak point and the published figures disagree. RTINGS measured 3.5 hours and called it disappointing; SoundGuys measured 6 hours 32 minutes at 75 dB SPL against TOZO’s own claims of 6, 8 or 10 hours; HeadphonesAddict measured 10.5 hours on the 2024 revision against a 15-hour claim. The box reportedly claims 55 hours total while the current listing says 45H. The case adds up to four extra charges and refills the buds in about an hour; SoundGuys measured about 35 additional hours and about 1.5 hours to charge the case wired.

Water resistance and durability

Water resistance is the reason many people buy it. The durability record is unusual. Owners report showering in them for three years, surviving a washing machine and a pot of boiling soup, pouring rain and a hot tub, and pairs still in use after five, six and seven years. A Tom’s Guide writer used a pair for about two years, dropped it repeatedly, lost one earbud in a damp basement alley for a weekend and found it still working.

Sound, calls and comfort

RTINGS calls the sound very bass-heavy and not neutral, good for EDM and hip-hop and poor for critical listening, with passive isolation that blocks background chatter well. SoundGuys found extra emphasis below 200 Hz and between 4 and 12 kHz, and does not recommend the T10 for calls: the mic sounds muffled and quiet with audible processing artifacts, and test-call recipients immediately remarked on it. Owners agree the microphone is the weak spot; one calls the T10 “absolute shit for phone calls” and another singles out the mic as the one flaw in otherwise good value. Fit divides owners. RTINGS calls the earbuds quite uncomfortable and warns the hard buttons can push the bud deeper into the ear; one owner reports ear-skin peeling and itching after a year, and water on the touch surface can pause playback because it reads as a tap.

What owners pay and upkeep

Owner-reported street prices cluster in the high teens to low thirties: about $18.98 in a July 2025 thread, $18.99 on sale and about $20 in November 2025 threads, and about $20 in 2026 threads, with one Canadian owner reporting C$40. SoundGuys lists a $49.99 MSRP. Budget for consumables: the ear tips are the part that wears and are sold separately, and one owner suggests replacing tips every few months or weeks at worst. Warranty is unclear, since no TOZO terms could be read; the only figure owners give is 18 months, and one owner reports TOZO replacing a pair that failed just outside that period.

Which model this is

This page covers the TOZO T10 in-ear true wireless earbuds, sold under several listings and at least three revisions. The listing behind this page is ASIN B07J2Z5DBM; a second listing, B0CJHTB44L, also carries the T10 name. Do not confuse it with TOZO models that do have ANC, such as the NC9, NC20 Pro or T20.
