Summary
A budget cordless stick vacuum that won Vacuum Wars’ 2025 best-under-$100 award: strong hard-floor pickup, near-perfect hair-tangle resistance, above-average filtration, a large 1.3 L bin and a 3.4 lb handle. The trade-off is measured suction and deep-carpet cleaning below the class average, short runtime on high power and a four- to five-hour charge.
Strengths
- Vacuum Wars’ best cordless vacuum under $100 for 2025, with above-average pickup, filtration and battery scores for the class.
- Near-perfect result in a 14-inch hair-tangle test.
- Largest-in-class dustbin at 1.3 L, versus roughly 750 ml class average.
- Anti-tangle brushroll, LED headlights and a digital battery gauge at a budget price.
- Lightweight 3.4 lb handle and flexible swivel steering.
- Removable, replaceable battery sold through Tikom support, plus V500-specific HEPA filters and dust cups.
Weaknesses
- Sealed suction of 50 inches of water lift sits below the 75-inch class average, and airflow is 29 cfm versus 36.5 cfm.
- Carpet deep cleaning reached 89 percent sand removal versus 93 percent for the class average, with weak crevice pickup.
- High-power runtime is short, 16 to 18 minutes, and charging takes four to five hours with no use while charging.
- Filtration is the best Vacuum Wars has seen under $100 but still showed some visible fog in their test.
- No dedicated long-term owner-failure data was found, and warranty duration could not be confirmed from the indexed manual text.

Suction, pickup and cleaning
Vacuum Wars tested the exact V500 and scored pickup above the class average, 30 versus 26.4, versus 32 for a Dyson V8 Animal. Sealed suction measured 50 inches of water lift against a 75-inch average, airflow 29 cfm against 36.5 cfm, and carpet deep cleaning 89 percent against 93 percent, with unsealed suction of 0.22 kPa against 0.58 kPa and a crevice score of 2 against 2.8. The 14-inch hair-tangle test was nearly perfect. Noise on max is 75 dB against a 77 dB average. Handle weight is 3.4 lb. Overall score was 3.76 against a 2.53 class average, with performance, battery and features all above average and hard floor and attachments below.
Battery and charging
Tikom’s manual and FAQ list about 32 minutes on low suction and about 16 minutes on high; Vacuum Wars measured 32 minutes standard and 18 minutes max, both well under the 44-minute class average for available runtime. Charging takes about 4 to 5 hours and up to about 6 hours when the battery runs hot, and the vacuum cannot run while plugged in. The charger is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, so travel only needs a plug adapter where the local voltage matches. The battery is user-removable and replaceable through Tikom support at support.us2@tikom.com, and Tikom sells V500-specific batteries under part number V500-BA. Tikom’s manual recommends emptying the dust cup weekly, washing the dust cup and cyclone every two weeks, monthly HEPA filter cleaning, HEPA replacement every 12 months, and weekly brush-roll cleaning, twice weekly with heavy pet hair. The HEPA filter must not be washed with water; the dust cup and cyclone are washable and air-dried.
Filtration, upkeep and parts
Filtration is the best Vacuum Wars has seen under $100, despite a little visible fog in their test, and was scored above average. Maintenance follows the printed manual: weekly bin emptying at the max line or sooner, fortnightly cyclone cleaning, monthly HEPA care, annual HEPA replacement, and regular brush-roll cleaning and hair removal. Replacement parts sold for this model include a HEPA filter three-pack that fits the V500 and V450, a 1.3 L replacement dust cup, and the V500 battery. The manual troubleshooting section covers brush-roll jams, low battery at 10 percent or less, wrong or non-original adapters, slow charging, power-on failures, sudden stops, weak suction and abnormal noise, with support.us2@tikom.com listed for hardware faults.
Is it worth it?
At $79.99 the V500 is strong value: measured pickup, filtration, handling and battery score above the class average in independent testing, and the sub-$100 award is the strongest signal for a budget buyer. In the $91 to $110 band it is fair; the Walmart price of $99.99 is the same hardware, so retailer choice matters more than price. Above $110 it is weak value, since cordless vacuums with higher measured suction, longer runtime and deeper service history exist in Vacuum Wars’ tested database. Vacuum Wars listed the V500 at $79.99, down from $89.99, in October 2026. The value case rests on the measured results, not on the 40 Kpa marketing figure.
