Summary
An ultra-budget stem-style true-wireless earbud with 10 mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 and a claimed 10 h per charge. Check the price before buying: soundcore’s US store lists it at $39.99, while deal pricing near $20–25 is where it earns its “good for the price” reputation.
Strengths
- Battery life is the strongest practical asset; real-world owners land near 8 h at 70% volume and GearLab measured 8.5 h.
- The app-connected feature set makes it an easy beat-around pair for spoken-word and podcast listening.
- IPX5, pocketable case and lanyard suit gym use.
- Durable in anecdotes: one unit survived repeated hot washing-machine cycles and a soundcore-site reviewer reports two years of daily use.
- Strong value at ~$19.99–24 according to Tom’s Guide, RecordingNow and redditrecs.
Weaknesses
- Sound quality is the weak point: GearLab scored it 46/100 overall and 3.6/10 for sound, with muddy bass, distant mids and a small soundstage.
- Call quality is thin in quiet rooms and collapses in wind or street noise.
- Feature set is thin in 2026: no ANC, transparency, multipoint, in-ear detection or wireless charging.
- The case is scratch-prone, feels flimsy and can power the earbuds on when jostled.
- Fit is ear-dependent; some owners report the buds will not stay in and small ear canals may struggle.
- Warranty duration is not confirmed on any fetched page (soundcore advertises only a “Hassle-Free Warranty”).

Battery life and durability
Manufacturer claims 10 h per charge and 30 h total with the case, and GearLab measured 8.5 h (its text also says “claimed 9 hours” while its table says 10 h). A head-fi showcase owner measured about 8 h at 70% volume. The case provides three additional charges. Fast charging is consistent across sources at different durations: 10 min = 2 h per manufacturer, Scarbir and iemsandmusic, versus GearLab’s 3 min = 1 h. GearLab’s durability anecdote (a forgetful teen, jeans pockets, repeated hot wash cycles, buds still working) and a soundcore-site reviewer’s two-year daily-use report are the only long-term evidence; no instrumented reliability test exists.
Sound and calls
The tuning is dark and bass-forward: GearLab’s panel scored bass 4.2, mids 3.5 and treble 2.7 against group averages near 7, with muddy bass, recessed mids and a small, depth-less soundstage. Scarbir and iemsandmusic describe the same L-shaped signature, with treble effectively absent below roughly 60% of the volume bar until the Treble Booster preset is applied. GearLab’s call testing found intelligible speech in quiet rooms, muffled calls on a subway and struggle with background noise and wind; Scarbir rated call quality low; RecordingNow called the mic “average to below average.” EQ is disabled while gaming mode is on.
App and controls
The Soundcore app on Android and iOS offers 22 EQ presets, customizable touch controls, gaming mode and a Find My Earbuds chime; the gaming mode disables EQ. The presets are fixed bands, not a user-adjustable EQ. Pairing happens only when the earbuds are removed from the case, not when the lid opens, and the lid feels like the weakest part. There is no multipoint, so switching devices means manual re-pairing. “Find My Earbuds” is a locating chime, not GPS tracking. The matte black case finish is described as extremely prone to scratches.
Is it worth it?
At ~$20–25, P20i is an easy recommendation for gym kits, kids, travel spares and spoken-word listening: Tom’s Guide, RecordingNow and redditrecs endorsed it in that band, and GearLab notes it is “often offered for under twenty dollars.” At $26–35, value is fair and some reviewers prefer the CMF Buds Pro 2, JLab Go Air Pop+ or TOZO NC9. At the $39.99 list price, the absence of ANC, multipoint and treble clarity is hard to defend; RecordingNow says it would spend ~$40 on the CMF Buds Pro 2 instead. Soundcore’s US store currently shows all color variants sold out. Replacement parts are limited to the $11.99 official eartips kit; warranty length is unverified.
