Common problems and fixes

Hex-only collets (no chuck) — accepts only 1/4-inch hex-shank bits; round-shank bits, hole saws and standard chucks do not fit, and hex bits wobble enough to leave less clean holes. Not covered by warranty. [11][12]
Limited stowed-bit length — only about 3 inches of clearance under the magnetic bit holder, and a longer bit in the forward collet must be removed before the head can fully rotate. [11]
