Summary

A cordless wet-and-dry stick vacuum that washes and dries its own roller on the dock, rated at 20,000 Pa with anti-tangle JawScrapers and a lay-flat FlatReach 2.0 head. Check the variant before you buy: the base F25 skips SlideTech 2.0 and does not clearly support app control, both reserved for the higher ACE and ALT models.

Strengths

  • The dock washes the roller at 90°C and dries it, which owners say removes the mildew problem of older wet-dry vacuums.
  • JawScrapers handles hair without tangling, per the manufacturer and a former Dyad owner.
  • FlatReach 2.0 lays flat at 12.5 cm to reach under low furniture.
  • A former Dyad owner called it surprisingly quiet in Auto mode.
  • The clean tank sits low for easier refilling.

Weaknesses

  • No instrumented lab test exists for the exact base F25; only higher variants have been measured.
  • The base model skips SlideTech 2.0, app control and the detergent tank, which the ACE and ALT add.
  • One owner reported a leak, and dirt can gather between the rollers.
  • A mildewy smell develops if you do not remove and dry the roller.
  • The low clean tank can be awkward to remove while the vacuum is docked.
  • No US warranty duration was published for the base model.

Cleaning and self-maintenance

The dock is the selling point. It washes the roller at 90°C and then dries it with hot air, in either a 5-minute fast cycle or a 20-minute quiet one. A former Roborock Dyad owner on r/Roborock called that “a huge upgrade over the dyad for lack of maintenance alone,” saying the drying is what keeps mildew away, and also found the vacuum quiet in Auto mode and good with hair. Mildew still returns if you leave the roller in place, so remove and dry it on a rack after use.

Variants and what this one lacks

The base F25 sits above the F25 LT and below the F25 ACE. It keeps DirTect dirt detection, which the LT lacks, but it does not have SlideTech 2.0 powered wheels, app control or a detergent tank; Roborock lists SlideTech 2.0 only for the F25 ALT and F25 ACE. Seller listings that claim SlideTech 2.0 for the base F25 are wrong. The ACE uses a smaller 740 ml clean tank and adds a 100 ml detergent tank, while the F25 Ultra jumps to 22,000 Pa with steam and hot-water modes.

What it costs

Roborock’s US store listed the step-down F25 LT at $199.99, down from $349.99 (Roborock US, October 2026), and the base F25 sits near that in the lineup; in Australia the F25 listed at $399 AUD before being discontinued. Running costs are filters, cleaning solution and eventually a battery, and the manual says to charge at least once every 3 months so the battery does not over-discharge. A replacement clean water tank is sold on AliExpress, but there is no official US parts catalog for the series.

Is it worth it?

The base F25 makes sense if you want the core package — 20,000 Pa, JawScrapers, FlatReach 2.0 and a self-washing, self-drying dock — without paying for steam or powered wheels. If you want measured performance and more features, the higher variants are better documented.

Which model this is

This page covers the base Roborock F25 cordless wet-and-dry vacuum, manual model WD5M1A. Roborock now sells it in the US as the F25 BX. It is not the F25 LT, RT, GT, ALT, XT, ACE, ACE Pro or Ultra, and it is not one of the newer F25 Gen 2 models. The listing is ASIN B0DHTW17RR.
