Summary
A compact 1.3-liter ultrasonic cool-mist humidifier for nightstands, desks and rooms up to 250 sq ft, with two mist settings, a blue night light and a five-year warranty. Check the model before you buy: the MistAire Drop is a distinct 1.3 L unit, and the published tests cover the larger MistAire models, not this one.
Strengths
- Two mist settings plus an optional blue night light for bedtime use.
- Auto shut-off stops the unit when the tank runs low or is removed.
- The teardrop body fits a nightstand or desk in a very small room.
- The five-year warranty is above average for this price class.
- No filter or cartridge to replace, so upkeep is water and the occasional descaling.
- Controls are minimal: one button cycles the mist and night-light settings.
Weaknesses
- No built-in hygrometer, so you cannot read the room’s humidity without a separate meter.
- No independent instrumented test of the exact Drop model was found.
- Adjacent tests of the larger original MistAire measured 18–20 hours on low against the 25-hour claim.
- The MistAire line’s small tank opening makes cleaning awkward, per those adjacent tests.
- White dust residue can build up with hard water, a caution noted for the MistAire Studio.
- Runtime and coverage figures are manufacturer claims, not measured for this model.

Tests and evidence
No independent instrumented test of the MistAire Drop itself was found. The published tests cover other MistAire models and are useful only as rough signals. Baby Gear Lab tested the original MistAire (1.51 L tank) and scored it 40/100, ninth of nine humidifiers, with low effectiveness and hard cleaning because of the small tank opening. CNN Underscored tested the original MistAire (1.7 L tank) and measured 18–20 hours on low against a 25-hour claim, 37 dB on high, and no hygrometer. None of these is the Drop, so treat their numbers as context, not a verdict on this model.
Running costs and upkeep
The MistAire Drop lists no demineralization cartridge or filter, so there is nothing to replace on a schedule; the running cost is water and the occasional descaling solution. Pure Enrichment lists the unit at $34.99 (manufacturer, 2026), and the five-year warranty runs longer than typical for the price. Manufacturer guidance for the MistAire line is daily cleaning and descaling every 1–2 weeks. There is no published parts list or repair program for the Drop.
Is it worth it?
The value case rests on the five-year warranty and the simple design, and the risk is that you are buying an untested model with no hygrometer and only manufacturer runtime figures. For a nightstand, a desk or a very small room it does the basic job. For a larger space, or a room where you need to reach a target humidity, look for a model with a humidity sensor and independent test data.
