Summary
A basic ultrasonic cool mist humidifier with a large tank, up to 50 hours of runtime and a 5-year warranty. Check the coverage claim before you buy — the spec table and the product description give different room sizes, and the manufacturer has not said which is correct.
Strengths
- Large 3.5 L tank means fewer refills than smaller units.
- Up to 50 hours of runtime on a single fill.
- Quiet operation suits bedrooms.
- Adjustable mist nozzle can be flipped to aim where you want.
- 5-year warranty is above average for this category.
Weaknesses
- No humidistat, so it cannot hold a target humidity.
- No warm mist, night light, timer or essential oil support.
- Essential oils void the warranty and damage the unit.
- Coverage claim conflicts: 270 vs. 475 sq. ft. on the same page.
- No independent lab test of this exact model exists.

What it is
The HUME is a single-knob ultrasonic humidifier. You fill the 3.5 L tank, turn the dial, and it mists until the water runs out or you turn it off. There is no humidistat, no display and no app. The ceramic transducer has a glaze coating to resist water scale. Home Depot owner reviews praise the large tank, easy filling, long runtime and quiet operation.
Coverage and runtime
Pure Enrichment claims up to 50 hours of runtime on one fill, and the description text says 12–50 hours depending on output level. Coverage is listed as up to 270 sq. ft. in the spec table, but the product description on the same page says 475 sq. ft. The manufacturer has not clarified which figure is correct. Mist output is rated at up to 300 ml/hr. No independent lab has measured actual output or noise for this model.
Maintenance and running costs
You will descale the tank and change the decalcification cartridge every 6 months. The manual recommends mild cleaners for tank cleaning and warns that essential oils, fragrances and water conditioners will damage the unit. Electricity draw is 25 W. Pure Enrichment lists the unit at $49.99 (October 2026).
Is it worth it?
At $49.99, the HUME covers the basics: a large tank, long runtime, simple controls and a 5-year warranty. Buyers who want a humidistat, warm mist or essential oil support should look elsewhere. The warranty is the strongest reason to choose it over similarly priced competitors with shorter coverage.
