Summary
Check the oven temperature before you buy: OXO claims 600°F, but a third-party test and OXO’s own care guidance put the limit at 430–450°F.
Strengths
- Diamond-reinforced ceramic coating released eggs and fish cleanly in independent tests.
- The hard-anodized body carries a lifetime warranty.
- Scratch-resistant and easy to clean, and it is dishwasher safe.
- Drip-free rims for pouring.
- A comfortable, balanced stainless steel handle.
Weaknesses
- OXO’s 600°F oven claim conflicts with a third-party test and OXO’s own ceramic guidance at 430–450°F.
- The nonstick coating is covered for only 2 years, and OXO classifies gradual loss of nonstick as normal wear.
- Owners report the coating going sticky or failing within months, though no failure-rate data exists.
- Ceramic pans lose nonstick in about a year and cost more per year than PTFE.
- Not induction-compatible; induction buyers need the OXO Ceramic Professional.
- No lid is offered for the 8-inch pan.

Cooking performance and tests
Wirecutter tested the Enhanced 10-inch, the same line in a larger size, and it released food with almost no residue, outperforming every other ceramic skillet in its 2026 tests. Eggs and fish fillets came away intact, and the handle was comfortable and balanced. Its one flaw was a cooking surface that was not completely flat, so a cracked egg slid slowly to the edge. Yahoo Shopping named the Enhanced 10-inch its best nonstick pan for eggs and pancakes, with a clean sear on salmon. Consumer Reports lab-tested the adjacent Ceramic Professional and found excellent cooking evenness, very good egg release and very good nonstick durability, withstanding up to 2,000 steel-wool strokes. The Kitchn’s six-month test of the Ceramic Professional stayed scratch-resistant even after metal-utensil accidents and cooked best on low or medium-low heat.
Warranty, repairs and running costs
The pan body carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, but the nonstick coating is covered for only 2 years from purchase, and OXO classifies gradual loss of nonstick performance as normal wear. Wirecutter reports a handful of warranty claims were denied; claims for retail purchases are handled by OXO’s manufacturing partner, The Cookware Company. The coating is the wear item and is not repairable, so there are no parts or consumables to budget for. Treat it as a consumable: Wirecutter’s ceramic guidance puts realistic nonstick life at roughly one to three years, against three to five years for PTFE. Hand-wash with a soft sponge, skip aerosol oil sprays and let the pan cool before washing to avoid warping.
The oven-temperature conflict
OXO’s product page says the Enhanced is oven safe to 600°F, but that number does not hold up. A third-party test of the Enhanced 10-inch states 430°F, Target’s Enhanced set listing says 430°, and OXO’s own ceramic care guidance says to skip oven temperatures hotter than 450°F. The same guidance says Enhanced cookware is safe over 400 degrees on the stovetop, and ceramic pans generally do not like high heat. If you need oven use, treat 600°F as unverified.
Is it worth it?
At $49.99 direct from OXO (2026) it is a defensible PTFE-free pan for eggs and delicate food, if you accept ceramic’s shorter service life and cook on low to medium heat. Above about $65, the induction-capable OXO Ceramic Professional is only about $10–$20 more and is Wirecutter’s induction recommendation. Wirecutter’s nonstick recommendation is the $35 Tramontina Professional, a PTFE pan that costs less per year of life. The value case rests on avoiding PTFE and on the lifetime body warranty; the 2-year coating warranty caps the downside.
