Summary

The OnePlus 11 5G is a 2023 flagship with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 80W wired charging, now a discounted previous-generation phone. Check the regional details before buying: the US model charges at 80W rather than the international 100W, and it has no wireless charging and only IP64.

Strengths

  • 80W charging refilled the US unit in about 27 minutes in independent tests.
  • Battery endurance measured 11h13m to 13h10m across two labs.
  • The 6.7-inch LTPO panel runs 1–120 Hz at 3216 × 1440 with excellent colour accuracy.
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance matched phones costing hundreds more.
  • OnePlus committed to four Android upgrades and five years of security updates.
  • Long-term owners call it the smoothest Android phone they have used.

Weaknesses

  • There is no wireless charging and no reverse wireless charging.
  • The telephoto is 2x only and struggles indoors.
  • Indoor white balance is off in several tests, and auto HDR is heavy-handed.
  • The US model has no mmWave 5G, and Wi-Fi 7 was disabled at launch.
  • One owner reported a battery-life regression after a software update.

Performance, display and charging

The independent testing is unusually consistent. The display runs 1–120 Hz at 3216 × 1440 and measured a 0.24 to 1.0 average Delta-E colour error across two labs, but GSMArena’s 487-nit manual and 767-nit auto brightness is below flagship class, and it logged recurring refresh-rate stutter between 30 Hz and 120 Hz.

Camera and software

Camera evidence is mixed rather than bad. In the US the phone was sold only through OnePlus and Best Buy, not through carriers, so there is no subsidy or installment route.

Owner reports and reliability

Owner sentiment a year or more in is positive: one owner called it “the best experience with a phone I’ve ever had”, another coming from a Xiaomi 13 Pro called it “the smoothest Android phone I’ve ever used”, and battery threads report strong endurance at maximum resolution and refresh rate. The clearest owner-reported caution is a battery-life regression tied to a specific update, down to about 5 hours of screen-on time on Wi-Fi and 3.5–4 hours on mobile data in one report; that is one owner, not a measured regression. No long-term battery-degradation test or teardown-based repairability score for this exact model was found, and the exact US warranty term was not confirmed.

At the $699 launch price for 8 GB + 128 GB and $799 for 16 GB + 256 GB, reviewers judged it flagship-class hardware for less than the $1,000 phones it undercut. As a previous-generation model the case is a discounted big-screen, fast-charging phone with a long support tail; one review page listed the phone at $550 at Best Buy. The charger, cable and a pre-applied screen protector are in the box, and no subscription is required.

Which model this is

This page covers the OnePlus 11 5G, the North American variant CPH2451, launched in February 2023 in Titan Black and Eternal Green. It is not the OnePlus 11R, which is India-only, nor the later OnePlus 12 or 12R. The Amazon listing for this phone is ASIN B0BNWPSCGB.
