Summary
A 40.5 g fixed (non-gimbal) 4K webcam with a 1/2-inch 48 MP sensor, f/1.8 lens and fast phase-detection autofocus; MSRP $129. Check whether you need Windows Hello, a physical gimbal or a built-in privacy shutter before buying, because it has none of the three.
Strengths
- 4K image quality with accurate color and little oversharpening from a 1/2-inch sensor.
- Phase-detection autofocus is fast and accurate with a short minimum focus distance.
- Among the lightest 4K webcams tested, at 40.5 g without its mount.
- OBSBOT Center offers auto-framing, background blur, beauty filters and Stream Deck integration.
- Three color options and a magnetic mount make it easy to move between setups.
- Strong value at the $129 MSRP against $199 rivals like the Logitech MX Brio.
Weaknesses
- No Windows Hello facial recognition.
- No physical gimbal; auto-framing is digital only and its range is limited, especially up close.
- Built-in microphones are serviceable but not a substitute for a dedicated mic.
- HDR and backlit handling is weak; faces can go underexposed against a bright window.
- Magnetic lens cap is easy to lose; there is no integrated privacy shutter.
- Portrait mode letterboxes the image instead of cropping to 9:16.

Image quality and autofocus
Phase-detection autofocus is repeatedly praised as fast and accurate, with a short minimum focus distance. The default look runs a little dark and warm out of the box, so plan to adjust ISO and white balance in OBSBOT Center.
Auto-framing, software and portrait mode
Auto-framing works without a gimbal by cropping and panning the 4K frame, but its range is limited, especially at close distances, and it cannot follow large movements the way the gimbal-equipped Tiny 2 can. OBSBOT Center adds background blur, beauty filters, full image controls and Elgato Stream Deck integration; on compatible GPUs it can hand off to Nvidia Broadcast bokeh. Portrait mode does not crop to 9:16; it letterboxes the landscape image with black bars.
Audio, HDR and backlighting
The dual omnidirectional microphones with noise reduction and auto gain are serviceable for calls but not a replacement for a dedicated mic; noise cancellation is basic and can sound unnatural. HDR mode tends to flatten and brighten the image, and highlight retention behind a subject lags the Insta360 Link 2C. Against a bright window or backlight, the face can end up underexposed.
Is it worth it?
At the $129 MSRP it is a strong value for a compact 4K webcam, and reviewers call it the better buy than the Insta360 Link 2C when the roughly $20 saving matters and HDR handling is not critical. It is a weaker buy if you need Windows Hello, gimbal tracking, a built-in privacy shutter, or strong out-of-box low-light performance without tweaking settings. Below about $100 it is an excellent value; at $149 or more the gimbal-equipped Tiny 2 Lite becomes the more compelling alternative. Comparators cited by reviewers include the Logitech MX Brio and Dell UltraSharp 4K at $199, the Elgato Facecam MK.2 at $149 and the Opal Tadpole at $129.
Which model this is
This page covers the OBSBOT Meet 2, an AI-Powered 4K Webcam sold in Space Grey/Gray, Cloud White and Aurora Green. Color variants use other ASINs such as B0D9W7W7PZ and B0D9W7YLV7. It is not the first-generation OBSBOT Meet or Meet 4K, and it is not the Meet Flip, Meet SE or the gimbal-equipped Tiny 2 and Tiny 2 Lite, which share the sensor but add motorized tracking.
