Summary
A 19-inch mains-powered bi-color LED ring light for close-up portraits, makeup, barber work and live streaming, with three phone mounts and a floor tripod. Check the kit contents before buying: the Standard, Advanced and Pro packages do not all include the 2.4 GHz remote or the USB transmitter.
Strengths
- Tom’s Guide (September 2025) praised ease of assembly, fast controls, adjustable stand and flattering close-up results versus a tested Neewer RL-18 and a Godox LR120.
- Three simultaneous phone mounts suit multi-platform streaming and different crops.
- 100 K temperature steps and 1% brightness steps help match ambient light.
- AC power avoids mid-session battery swaps, and a carry bag is included.
- Integrated USB ports can top up phones while shooting.
Weaknesses
- AC only: no battery option for mobile or outdoor shoots.
- Mounting security is disputed: one Shop buyer reported the ring did not fasten securely to the tripod, while others found the hardware sturdy.
- Top-heavy: a 1.42 kg ring plus up to three phones on an extended stand can tip.
- Kit contents vary by package; not every box includes the RF remote or the USB transmitter.
- Full brightness can be uncomfortable to look into at close range.
- No independent photometric test of this SKU; CRI and TLCI are manufacturer ratings.

Light quality and controls
Tom’s Guide found the controls responsive and the stand sturdy, with pleasing skin tones and precise brightness and color adjustment; at maximum output the panel was intense enough to be uncomfortable when adjusted from directly in front. The 3200–5600 K range and 1% dimming steps allow matching daylight or tungsten ambiance better than lights limited to fixed warm/white/cool modes. The circular catchlights and reduced facial shadows suit beauty and portrait work, but the frontal look can read flat for product photography. Blue-light glare is a risk at full output, so start dimmed and avoid staring into the panel.
Kit variants and buying
NEEWER sells Standard, Advanced and Pro packages, and the 2.4 GHz RF remote is listed under Advanced while the ball head is listed under Pro. B&H offers two different kits under SKUs 66604515 and 66603444, the latter with a computer USB transmitter and “no mobile app” on the former. Buyers who see app or USB control on one reseller page may receive a simpler package if they choose the wrong SKU, so confirm the included remotes and dongle in writing. The official page shows “from $159.99” with “more stock coming soon”, so confirmed availability by kit cannot be established from the scrape.
Running costs and parts
There is no subscription, cloud account, paid app or required monthly service. Electricity is the main running cost. At the nominal 43 W consumption, 5 hours a week for 52 weeks is 260 hours and 11.18 kWh, about $2.24 a year at an assumed $0.20 per kWh; 10 hours a week is 520 hours and 22.36 kWh, about $4.47; 20 hours a week is 1,040 hours and 44.72 kWh, about $8.94. These are mathematical illustrations only; dimming, color temperature, phone charging and adapter efficiency change real use. Optional spending includes an ST-190 stand at $39.99, phone clamps at $19.99 or $25.99, remote batteries and eventual adapter or stand repairs. The ring light head is an integrated LED fixture with no OEM head-only US SKU or field-replacement guide found; the 15 V adapter, cold-shoe bracket, clamps, remote and bag have no verified replacement part numbers or prices either.
Is it worth it?
Observed US offers on October 25, 2026, before tax: the manufacturer lists the RP19H from $159.99 with a kit selector; Best Buy SKU 11956315 showed $115.49 and a cached $129.99 for the kit with tripod, three holders and upgraded 2.4 GHz touch control; B&H 66604515 showed $87.59 with free standard shipping but as a special order with 6–10 weeks expected and no store display, plus a separate $109.49 snapshot on the accessory tab; B&H 66603444 was no longer available. A good buy is $95 or less for the 66604515 package if one can wait for verified special-order fulfillment, or $115 or less for a currently shippable complete RF-remote variant; $115–$130 is acceptable for an in-stock 2.4 GHz kit; above $160, compare the Neewer RL-18 new kit at $114.99 or the Godox LR150 at $59 without an equivalent stand. The RP20-B battery-powered 20-inch kit at $199.99 is the alternative for off-grid shooting.
