Summary
A 17.3-inch 1080p 144Hz gaming laptop built around Intel’s Core 7 240H and NVIDIA’s RTX 5060, sold through marketplace sellers with no professional review or owner base to confirm real-world performance. Check the seller’s warranty terms and GPU power limit before buying, because neither is documented in available sources.
Strengths
- The Core 7 240H and RTX 5060 combination targets 1080p gaming at 144 Hz.
- A single 16 GB RAM stick leaves the second slot open for an upgrade.
- The 17.3-inch form factor gives more screen real estate than 15.6-inch siblings.
- Two USB-C ports with USB PD offer flexible charging and display output.
- The translucent-black chassis is a distinctive design choice at this price.
Weaknesses
- No professional instrumented review of this exact model exists to confirm thermals, noise, or battery life.
- The 1 TB SSD is M.2 2242, a short form factor that limits aftermarket upgrade choices.
- Battery capacity and AC adapter wattage for the 17-inch model are unconfirmed.
- The Newegg listing is sold by a third-party marketplace seller, not MSI direct.
- GPU power limit (TGP) and warranty terms are not first-party confirmed.
- The listing’s “Quick Info” table mislabels the CPU as “AMD Athlon II” — a retailer data-entry error.

Upgrade path and storage
The 16 GB of DDR5 memory is installed as a single 16 GB stick, leaving the second SODIMM slot open. That is a practical positive for anyone planning a RAM upgrade. The 1 TB NVMe SSD uses the M.2 2242 form factor — a short drive that limits some aftermarket SSD choices compared with the more common 2280 size. There is a single drive bay, so storage expansion means replacing the existing drive rather than adding a second one. No teardown or service documentation was found for this model.
Pricing and where it sells
The exact model sells through a Newegg marketplace seller at $1,874.99 against a $2,499.00 reference price (Newegg, 2026-10-12). The listing first appeared on Newegg on 2026-04-18. The 15-inch Cyborg 15 sibling with the same CPU and GPU was a Walmart Black Friday deal at $899, down from $1,199, according to a Reddit r/GamingLaptops thread — that pricing applies to the 15-inch chassis only, but it shows the line targets budget-conscious 1080p buyers. The 17-inch model commands a size premium.
What owners and reviewers say
No owner feedback specific to the Cyborg 17 B2RWFKG-074US was found. No Reddit threads, forum posts, or Q&A about the 17-inch unit surfaced in the search window. The only nearby community signal is a Reddit r/GamingLaptops thread from November 2025 discussing the Cyborg 15 sibling as a Walmart Black Friday deal — interest in the platform’s value, but for the 15-inch model, not this one. No instrumented professional review from Notebookcheck, Tom’s Guide, CNET, PCMag, RTINGS, or Wirecutter was found for the exact 17-inch model. Treat sibling-model signals as weak proxies only.
Is it worth it?
At $1,874.99 through a marketplace seller, the Cyborg 17 B2RWFKG-074US is a spec-sheet buy: the Core 7 240H and RTX 5060 are a known quantity at 1080p, but thermals, battery life, display quality, and warranty service terms remain unknown. If you need a 17-inch gaming laptop and the open RAM slot matters to you, the specs justify a look — provided you verify the seller’s warranty and return terms first. If you want confirmed real-world performance, wait for a professional review.
