Summary

A palm-sized Windows 11 mini PC built on AMD’s Ryzen 5 7545U mobile chip, with 16 GB of soldered LPDDR5-6400, dual M.2 storage and USB-C PD power. Check the memory before you buy: the 16 GB is soldered and cannot be upgraded, and the processor is a 15–30 W laptop part, not a desktop chip.

Strengths

  • Six Zen 4 cores and Radeon 740M graphics fit in a 0.8 L, 670 g chassis.
  • Runs from USB-C PD at 65–100 W, so one cable from a PD monitor can power it.
  • Two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, each up to 4 TB, plus Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5G Ethernet.
  • Owners report low idle draw, around 9 W, and responsive everyday performance with LPDDR5-6400.
  • Up to three displays at once, with 8K at 60 Hz over USB4 or HDMI 2.1.
  • No subscription or proprietary consumable; the only running cost is electricity.

Weaknesses

  • Memory is soldered: 16 GB is the ceiling and cannot be upgraded.
  • The 7545U is a 15–30 W mobile part, so sustained multi-threaded work trails desktop-class mini PCs.
  • No major US outlet has tested it; the only detailed review is Guru3D’s.
  • The maker’s under-35 dB noise claim has no independent measurement behind it.
  • Warranty terms vary by storefront, and first-party US materials did not confirm the 2-year term.
  • Retailer listings carry errors: Newegg’s page names Radeon 680M graphics and DDR5 SODIMM slots the hardware does not have.

Size, power and setup

The UM750L Slim is about 0.8 liters and 670 grams, in a metal case that can sit flat or on its side. Its headline trick is power over USB-C PD: the USB4 port takes 65–100 W in, so a single cable from a PD monitor can run the machine and the display at once. Around the back you get 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, four USB-A ports and a headphone jack, and the system drives up to three displays. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled.

Performance and cooling

The processor is AMD’s Ryzen 5 7545U, a 6-core/12-thread Zen 4 mobile chip on a 15–30 W configurable TDP. Guru3D’s review calls it a competent do-it-all chip when cooled at 20–28 W, but warns that performance lives and dies by how the maker sets power limits and cooling. That is the catch for a machine this small: multi-threaded work will trail mini PCs using desktop-class HS-series chips, and the sources do not publish the exact cTDP MINISFORUM ships. A French overview cites owner impressions of low idle draw, around 9 W, and estimates 60–80 fps in 1080p low settings in CS2 and Valorant on the Radeon 740M — editorial estimates, not measured benchmarks. The cooling system uses dual fans with a phase-change thermal interface, rated by the maker at under 35 dB under full load; no independent noise or thermal test was found.

Repairs, upgrades and running costs

Repairability is limited by design. The memory is soldered, so the 16 GB you buy is the 16 GB you keep, and the CPU is a BGA mobile chip that is not socketed. The parts you can change are storage — two M.2 2280 slots, each up to 4 TB — and the M.2 2230 Wi-Fi card. Long term, the practical job is clearing dust from the fan intakes. There is no subscription and no proprietary consumable; the only recurring cost is electricity.

Is it worth it?

At $500 or less the package is competitive for anyone who needs a tiny, efficient desktop with USB-C PD power. Between $501 and $550 it is fair, and above $551 the mobile chip and soldered 16 GB of RAM make desktop-class alternatives more attractive unless the slim size is a hard requirement. When checked in October 2026, MINISFORUM’s own US store listed the 16 GB + 1 TB configuration at $519 on sale against a $649 regular price, its main product page showed $495 (sold out) against $619, and Newegg listed $599. The EU store showed €559 on sale against €699, and the UK store £479 against £599.
