Surface and glide

Logitech describes the surface as consistent edge-to-edge with moderate resistance suited to low-DPI gaming, and as comparable to the optimal testing environment for Logitech G mice. Glide stayed consistent across the surface, and large flicks were smooth.

Durability and edges

The same review noted the pad has no stitched edges and began to fray toward the end of the testing period. The manufacturer pages do not state whether the edges are stitched, so treat the no-stitched-edges claim as coming from the review prose.

Which model this is

This page covers the Logitech G640 SE Gaming Mousepad, sold by Logitech G as “G640 - G502 Anniversary Edition”, Large Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad, SKU 943-001334, color Black. Its listing carries a “Computer Mice” category label, which is a mislabel: this is a mouse pad, not a mouse. No revisions or regional variants are documented on the fetched manufacturer pages.

Is it worth it?

At $29.99 the SE is priced the same as the standard G640 and offers the same moderate-friction cloth surface and rubber base with a different print. Value depends on preference for the G502 Anniversary Edition artwork; no performance difference is stated. The independent review rates the original G640 a good “starting pad” for medium/low-sensitivity gamers wanting a middle-of-the-road glide, with the caveat of no stitched edges and early fraying. No independent test data or alternative comparisons were retrieved to rank value against other pads.
