Summary
A plug-and-play USB webcam that shoots 1080p at 30 FPS through a glass autofocus lens, with automatic light correction, stereo microphones and a removable privacy shutter. Check what you need before buying: the 78° view is fixed, there is no 60 FPS mode, and audio is good rather than great.
Strengths
- Clear 1080p video from a glass lens with realistic foreground and background.
- Autofocus tracks movement in real time without blurring at desk distance.
- RightLight 2 compensates as desk lamps move around the room.
- Includes a removable physical privacy shutter, which few Logitech webcams ship with.
- Plug-and-play over USB with no subscription and no required software.
- Wide availability through authorized retailers at the time of checking.
Weaknesses
- The 78° field of view is fixed; Logi Tune’s wider view is a digital crop.
- 1080p tops out at 30 FPS; there is no 60 FPS mode.
- Audio is good, but not great, and the microphones hear surrounding room noise.
- Some owners report autofocus that hunts or loses focus mid-call.
- Logi Tune settings can fail to persist between meetings on Windows 11.
- The attached USB-A cable cannot be unplugged at the camera end.

Image and autofocus
Independent testing found the glass lens delivered clear, realistic video at 1080p and 30 FPS, with rich color and autofocus that kept up with movement without blurring. RightLight 2 handled shifting desk lighting for the most part. No publishable lab measurements for latency, sharpness or low-light noise were found, so treat image claims as qualitative.
Autofocus is the one part owners report trouble with. An owner who had used the webcam for more than a year reported repeatedly losing focus in Zoom, resetting it by turning video off and on, and a newer owner reported the camera failing to focus at normal desk distance even after switching from G HUB to Logi Tune. Logitech support pointed the first to Logi Tune focus controls. Nobody has published a failure rate, so treat this as a known annoyance rather than a defect.
Audio and setup
The dual microphones are rated for a useful range of about 1 m (3 ft) and produce intelligible voice at a desk, but testers describe the sound as good rather than excellent and recommend a headset or USB microphone in a noisy room. The related C922 Pro HD Stream is the variant Logitech promotes with noise-cancelling mics, not this one.
In the box are the webcam, a 5 ft USB-A cable, a removable privacy shutter and documentation. The shutter is a physical cover that snaps over the lens rather than a software toggle; if it goes missing, Logitech directs owners to support.
Repairs, parts and running costs
Logitech’s inspected material gives no measured watt draw, so no annual electricity figure can be quoted.
Genuine parts are thin. A replacement C930e and C920s privacy cover is listed at about $5 (Logitech spare parts, 2026), and no model-specific spare parts appear on the support page. A broken attached USB-A cable is a repair or replacement matter rather than routine maintenance. Logitech lists the camera at $69.99 on its US store, with free shipping and free 30-day returns; several US retailers showed $59.99 on promotion in October 2026.
