Lodge lists the camp Dutch oven in 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10-quart sizes; the 6-quart is the deep 8-inch model, model L8DO3. The “deep” name matters — the shallow 8-inch version is L8CO3, a 5-quart pot, and marketplace listings blur the two. The 6-quart is the one with the three legs, the flanged coal lid and the bail handle.
Maintenance and warranty
Bare cast iron is repairable in practice: rust can be stripped back and the pot re-seasoned, and only a crack is terminal. Lodge’s Made Right limited lifetime warranty covers cracks, warps during normal cooking, damage on arrival and casting defects. It does not cover rust, pitting, roughness, sticky seasoning, flaking or odors, and it is voided by dishwasher use, soaking in water or microwave use.
