Summary
A 16-inch Intel Core Ultra 9 OLED laptop listing that most likely maps to Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 (2025), though the exact model could not be confirmed from Lenovo’s own pages. Check the model number before you buy: every key spec on the listing is unverified.
Strengths
- The listing claims a 16-inch 2.8K OLED 120 Hz display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, a strong combination for photo and video work on paper.
- The claimed Intel Core Ultra 9, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X and up to 1TB of SSD storage match the prior generation’s top configuration.
- Thunderbolt 4 is on the claimed spec sheet, and the prior generation had it too.
- Notebookcheck independently documented the 2023/24 refresh, so the line’s design has a track record.
Weaknesses
- The exact 2025 model could not be confirmed; “Pro 5” is not a standard Lenovo US retail line name.
- Every key spec on the listing is unverified — no manufacturer page, review or owner discussion could be read.
- The claimed 1100-nit brightness would be a major jump from the prior generation’s 400-nit panel.
- Memory was soldered in the prior generation, and upgradeability of the 2025 model is unverified.
- No battery-life, performance or thermal test results exist for this model.
- No current price could be verified.

What this laptop probably is
“Pro 5” is not a standard Lenovo US retail line name. Lenovo’s 2025 consumer laptops sell under the IdeaPad, Slim and Yoga families, and US reseller listings frequently shorten “IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 (2025)” to “Pro 5 2025”. The likely underlying hardware is the IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, but Lenovo’s own pages were unreachable. The exact SKU, model number and generation identifier remain unconfirmed.
The listing’s claims
Every key spec on the listing is unverified. The claimed 1100-nit brightness would be a major panel upgrade over the prior generation’s 400-nit OLED; the claimed Wi-Fi 7 and second SSD slot go beyond what the 2023/24 refresh offered; the 84Wh battery could not be confirmed, and memory upgradeability is unverified. Treat the spec sheet as the seller’s claims until Lenovo’s own page or an independent review confirms them.
The prior generation
Notebookcheck’s article on the 2023/24 IdeaPad Pro 5i 14/16 refresh documents the line’s spec vocabulary: up to a Core Ultra 9 processor, up to 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X memory, 1TB NVMe storage, RTX 4050 or Intel Arc graphics, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, an FHD camera with an IR sensor and privacy shutter, an SD card reader and HDMI 2.1. The 16-inch version offered 2K (2048x1280) and 2.5K (2560x1600) panels; the 2.8K OLED 120 Hz panel at 400 nits was on the 14-inch version. That generation launched at $1,149 in December 2023.
Is it worth it?
No current price could be verified, so no value threshold can be responsibly stated. The only anchor is the prior generation’s $1,149 launch figure: a 2025 listing that sells well below it undercuts the launch price, while one that sells above it charges more for unverified upgrades. Check the model number against Lenovo’s own page before you buy.
