Summary
A 23.8-inch all-in-one for light home-office work, pairing a 12th-generation Core i3, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD with the screen, speakers and webcam in one box. Check the model number before you buy: the US F0GH0166US configuration is non-touch and the 8GB of RAM leaves little headroom.
Strengths
- The monitor, speakers, microphone and processor sit in one enclosure, so a desk needs only one power adapter.
- The i3-1215U brings two performance and four efficiency cores, a clear step above older low-end AIOs that still used mechanical drives.
- The 250-nit IPS panel is sized well for Word, email, browsing and video calls.
- Two SO-DIMM slots and an M.2 SSD slot mean a careful upgrade or SSD swap is possible without replacing the monitor.
- Wired Gigabit Ethernet and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports give a fast, cable-reliable office connection.
- Lenovo still publishes a 24IAP7 user guide and Hardware Maintenance Manual, which helps tell a real service step from generic teardown advice.
Weaknesses
- 8GB of RAM is tight once browser tabs, video calls and antivirus run together, and the tested ceiling is only 16GB.
- Opening the panel is risky: one owner cracked the LCD during a RAM upgrade and the replacement did not restore normal output.
- The screen is 1080p at 23.8 inches, so two large windows side-by-side feel cramped.
- Ports sit on the back and can be awkward to reach against a wall, and there is no USB-C.
- This is a 2022-era design; a newer Lenovo 24ARR9 or Dell 24 All-in-One offers 100Hz panels and DDR5 for more money.
- Used AIO shipping is unforgiving: a damaged panel turns the whole purchase into a return.

Screen and ports
The 23.8-inch 1920×1080 IPS panel is anti-glare and rated 250 nits, which is fine for documents and streaming but not for colour-critical work. The published 72% NTSC gamut is a family figure, not proof of factory calibration. One HDMI 1.4 output drives a second monitor; the port is output-only, so the built-in screen cannot be reused as a plain HDMI monitor for another laptop. Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports handle a fast external SSD, while two USB-A 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet cover everyday peripherals. The stand tilts from −5° to +25° but does not offer height adjustment or a VESA arm.
Upgrades and repairs
Two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM sockets support up to 16GB, and the M.2 slot takes a 2242 or 2280 NVMe drive. Access is more involved than in a small tower. A February 2026 r/PCRepair owner identified the machine as an IdeaCentre 3 24IAP7, cracked the LCD while reassembling after a RAM install, bought a replacement display from Lenovo, and still saw the BIOS logo with Windows output going black; an external monitor worked. Swapping the display cable and updating drivers did not fix it. That is one failed repair, not a failure rate, but it is a reason to leave internal work to someone competent. A third-party seller lists an open-box motherboard, part 5B21D17017, for i3-1215U F0GH 24IAP7 at $168.98 with free US shipping and 30-day buyer-paid returns; confirm the serial-specific FRU and labour before ordering.
Running costs
There is no required subscription to run Windows 11 Home, and no cartridges or refills. The 90W or 135W adapter rating is the maximum, not measured wall draw. If a machine averages 30W at the wall, 8 hours a day for 250 days is 60kWh a year, or $12 at $0.20/kWh and $18 at $0.30/kWh; at 24/7 and an 18W average it is 157.68kWh, or $31.54 a year at $0.20/kWh. None of those wattages is a laboratory measurement of this model, and brightness, USB devices and workload move the number. Repairs are the real risk: an LCD fault can make a working computer unusable, and a motherboard fault can strand a good panel.
Is it worth it?
At the $497.99 indexed Newegg refurb price this is a reasonable home-office box if the panel and SSD check out and you can live without touch. Newegg showed that listing out of stock in October 2026, so it was not a confirmed buyable offer. Walmart listed the same F0GH0166US at $784.99, also out of stock. A new-stock Newegg search result showed $819.00, with third-party prices near $704.43. At those figures a newer Lenovo 24ARR9 from $699.99 or a Dell 24 All-in-One from $849.99 deserves comparison. If the price lands below $450 with a clean panel and a return window, the trade-off is easier to accept.
Which model this is
This page covers the IdeaCentre AIO 3 24IAP7, machine type F0GH, model F0GH0166US: Core i3-1215U, 8GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, Windows 11 Home, 23.8-inch non-touch. The catalog’s own Lenovo link, F0EU0035US, is a different and older IdeaCentre AIO 3 24IMB05 with a 10th-generation i5-10400T, so parts and specs from that page do not belong here. Best Buy sells a touchscreen sibling, F0GH00J7US, but it is a different SKU with only 256GB of storage.
