Full research notes and sources
Fixed focus and meeting distance
The lens is fixed focus with no autofocus, optimized for typical meeting distances, so it cannot refocus for very close or very far subjects. Zoom is 1x digital only, with no optical zoom. Buyers who need to show close-up objects or wide rooms should account for that.
Audio and image adjustment
The microphone is a single omnidirectional mono unit with a 100 Hz–8 kHz response, not a wideband or stereo array. TrueHue is an optional downloadable application for Windows and macOS that adjusts brightness, contrast, and sharpness; it is not built-in hardware processing. Image control therefore depends on installing the software.
Materials, power and mounting
The shell uses 49% post-consumer recycled content in specified parts and excludes screws, the glass lens, and the LED light; the cable is TPE and halogen-free, and packaging is FSC-certified. Mounting uses a 1/4" thread plus a universal clip, with 360° horizontal and 37° vertical adjustment. A single blue LED shows when the camera is on.
CDW lists the product at $33.99 (B2B retailer; sign-in required to confirm checkout price), in stock with 1,166 units, and with zero reviews. No MSRP or other retailer prices were found. On specifications and warranty alone it is a competitive sub-$40 option, but value cannot be verified without independent image and audio tests or owner feedback.
Is it worth it?
For a basic work or study webcam under $40, the W1060 EQ covers the essentials on paper: 1080p/30fps, a physical privacy shutter, TrueHue adjustment, a 2-year warranty, and recycled-content packaging. Buyers who need autofocus, a wider mic, or verified image quality should wait for independent tests or owner feedback, since none exist for this exact model yet.
