Performance and thermals

No independent instrumented test of the exact 16-ap0097nr configuration was found. Manufacturer copy promotes OMEN AI, Unleashed Mode, and high-efficiency fans that reduce noise, but these are claims, not measurements. Treat those as chassis-level signals only. Owner threads for other configurations report heat above 90 C in Performance mode, short battery life on older configurations, and touchpad concerns; none of that establishes behavior for 16-ap0097nr.

Display

Manufacturer lists 500 nits and 100% sRGB for this panel. Response time is listed at 3 ms. No color-accuracy or response-time measurements for this exact panel were found.

Battery and power

The 83 Wh battery supports fast charge to about 50% in 30 minutes and ships with a 230 W adapter. No exact-model battery test was found. CNET reported nearly 16 hours on a YouTube streaming test on a different configuration, and owner threads for older Omen 16 configurations report short battery life. Those do not apply directly to 16-ap0097nr. Ownership costs beyond purchase price are not quantified in the sources.

Deal threads document $1,499.99 reduced to $1,199.99 with a promo code and $1,399.99 reduced to $1,189.99 with another promo code, both with free shipping. Retailer pages list prices near $2,595, which appear to be placeholders or list prices rather than normal transaction prices. At roughly $1,190, the specification is competitive for a 16-inch RTX 5070 laptop. At $1,400 to $1,500, buyers should compare other RTX 5070 laptops. At $2,595, the listing is not a useful value anchor.
