Battery and charging

Charging takes 4.5 hours. There is no swappable battery, so a dead headset means waiting for a charge rather than swapping packs.

Compatibility and connectivity

This is a PC headset over a 2.4 GHz USB dongle, with a 3.5 mm (4-pole) connection also listed and a 1.64 ft USB charge cable. No Bluetooth is listed, and no console compatibility is stated, unlike the PS and Xbox variants of the HyperX Stinger Core Wireless. DTS Headphone:X spatial audio depends on compatible content and software.

What is missing from the record

RTINGS.com’s HyperX review index does not include a Cloud II Core Wireless entry, and no dedicated review of this exact model was located on the major outlets checked. A 2023 Reddit thread in r/HyperX asks whether the Cloud II Core Wireless is good, but the surfaced reply discusses the older Cloud II Wireless and states it cannot speak to the Core Wireless, so it is not exact-model evidence. Treat the manufacturer’s comfort and battery claims as marketing, not owner experience.

Is it worth it?

At the $119.99 HyperX MSRP (2026-10-27), this sits in the budget wireless tier against HyperX’s own lineup: the Cloud II Wireless (2020) at $89.99 and the Cloud III at $99.99 wired or $179.99 for the S Wireless, per HyperX’s store (2026-10-27). Without independent test data or owner reports, value rests on spec comparison alone. Buyers who need measured comfort, microphone quality or battery life should look for a model with published reviews.
