Summary
The one thing to check before buying: it is not induction-compatible, and no independent instrumented test of this exact pan exists.
Strengths
- PFAS-free ceramic coating with no harmful fumes if overheated, per the manufacturer.
- Oven-safe to 600°F, so it handles stovetop-to-oven tasks without a second vessel.
- At $55.99 direct from GreenPan, it undercuts Wirecutter’s best-tested ceramic (OXO Enhanced, ~$60).
- Light at 1.91 lb, with a riveted stainless steel handle.
- Works on all stovetops except induction.
Weaknesses
- Not induction-compatible — a material limitation of the un-plated hard-anodized aluminum body.
- No independent instrumented test of this exact pan exists; Wirecutter’s 2026 ceramic-category testing found ceramic coatings lose nonstick in about a year.
- GreenPan’s “metal utensil safe” claim conflicts with general nonstick longevity guidance to avoid metal on nonstick.
- The “Consumer Reports Recommended” badge on GreenPan’s page could not be tied to a CR-tested Paris Pro ranking.
- The Thermolon coating is warranted for only 2 years, while the body is lifetime — the manufacturer treats the coating as a shorter-life component.

Ceramic nonstick longevity
Wirecutter’s 2026 testing of over a dozen ceramic nonstick pans found ceramic coatings are stickier than PTFE, lose nonstick properties in about a year or sometimes faster, and cost more. The mechanism is self-depleting: the coating releases silicone oil each heating cycle. Owner reviews of other ceramic pans showed loss of nonstick within months and coating chips or flakes after rough cleaning. No Paris Pro-specific durability test exists, so this is a category signal rather than a measured defect rate for this exact pan. GreenPan’s own warranty structure mirrors the concern — the Thermolon coating is warranted for 2 years from date received, while the body carries a lifetime warranty for the original owner.
Value and pricing
GreenPan’s US store lists the 10" Paris Pro at $55.99 (suggested $114.99). Walmart, sold by The Cookware Company, lists the same pan at $79.99. Chef’s Corner lists individual Paris Pro pans at $39.95–$69.99 and the 8+10" set at $71.95. At $55.99 the pan undercuts Wirecutter’s best-performing ceramic in testing, the OXO Enhanced 10" ($60), and is far below the OXO Ceramic Professional ($80). At $79.99 it is still under most tested ceramic alternatives, but the ceramic longevity risk argues for buying at the lower end and treating the pan as a 2–4 year item rather than a lifetime piece. Wirecutter’s PTFE top pick, the Tramontina Professional 10", runs ~$35 with instrumented test support.
Care, maintenance and marketing claims
GreenPan states the pan is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended. Wirecutter’s general advice is that dishwasher exposure erodes nonstick coatings. For longevity, hand washing and silicone or wood utensils are the safer path — especially given that the coating is the wear item under the warranty. Replacement lids are sold separately by size. No service-parts channel for individual pans was found.
The “Consumer Reports Recommended” badge on GreenPan’s Paris Pro page could not be tied to a CR-tested Paris Pro ranking. The only GreenPan frying pan visible in CR’s current 43-model tested range was Valencia Pro — a different, induction-compatible, higher-end line. GreenPan’s claim that ceramic nonstick won’t release harmful fumes if overheated is a manufacturer statement, not an independent test.
Is it worth it?
At $55.99 direct from GreenPan it is a strong value for gas, electric or glass cooktop owners who want PFAS-free positioning and 600°F oven safety. At $79.99 from Walmart or Chef’s Corner it is fair-to-good value, though the lack of exact-model test data and the 2-year coating warranty argue for expecting a shorter service life. At $114.99 (GreenPan’s suggested price) it is hard to justify — tested PTFE picks and GreenPan’s own induction-compatible Valencia Pro become alternatives to compare. Induction users should look elsewhere.
Which model this is
This page covers the GreenPan Paris Pro Ceramic Nonstick 10" Frypan, SKU CC00028-001, sold in gray with a riveted stainless steel handle. ASIN B00C3XVR0E is an older listing for the same line. Do not confuse it with GreenPan Valencia Pro, which is a different, induction-compatible line, or with the non-hard-anodized generic “Paris” line.
