Summary

A dual-motor sit-stand desk with a 3/4-inch natural bamboo top, a 350 lb lift rating and a choice of a bare up/down toggle or a four-preset OLED handset. It is still stiff, quiet and highly configurable, but check the frame variant and the lead time before you buy: a first-party price near $1,525, a warranty cut from 15 years to 7 and a 13-week delivery window make it a sale-or-nothing purchase.

Strengths

  • Stiff and stable under load: T3 reported it resisted deliberate leaning and stayed strong and stable.
  • Quiet, smooth travel: reviewers describe it going up and down silently and smoothly across its full range.
  • A durable, attractive bamboo top with a wear-resistant UV-cured coating.
  • Broad configuration range: sizes to 72 × 30 in, three height ranges, several finishes, grommets and frame colours.
  • Strong Fully-era service: one owner swapped a wrong frame with free FedEx pickup and got the difference back.

Weaknesses

  • Assembly is the consistent complaint: about two and a half hours across 13 stages at T3, with a second person needed for the final flip.
  • The warranty was cut from 15 years to 7.
  • Price has moved past rivals: Wirecutter’s table puts a 60-inch bamboo Uplift V3 at $890 and a 58-inch Branch Duo at $750.
  • Standard delivery for the checked configuration was quoted at 13 weeks.
  • The 60 × 30 in top uses the long foot, so a replacement frame must be matched on foot length.
  • The 1.5 in/s figure applies only to the extended-range frame; the mid-range frame is rated at 1.3 in/s.

Assembly and setup

T3’s build took about two and a half hours across 13 stages and needed a second person for the final flip, plus a crosshead screwdriver the buyer supplies and a drill if you fit the cable tray. Tom’s Guide’s build took about half an hour, roughly twice as long as the Vari. The manual is blunt about the payoff: double-check that every screw is tight, triple-check, and note that skipping the center-rail step causes stability issues. T3 also had trouble fully screwing in the front-mounted controller.

Warranty and service

The Herman Miller Store lists 7 years for frame components, mechanical parts, motors and electrical components, 5 years on tops and 1 year on power grommets and surge protectors, with a 30-day return window. Wirecutter records that Herman Miller shortened the warranty from 15 years to 7. MillerKnoll closed Fully as a standalone business and stopped taking fully.com orders by April 30, 2023, moving the Jarvis to the Herman Miller and Design Within Reach channels. In a 2020 Engadget account, an owner who ordered the mid-range frame by mistake was allowed to buy the extended-range frame alone for $20 more, keep the desktop, and return the old frame with FedEx pickup; that predates the closure, so treat it as a Fully-era data point.

The exact 60 × 30 in 3-stage configuration was listed at $1,525 at the Herman Miller Store (read October 2026), with the rectangular bamboo shape spanning $1,245 to $1,725. Historical anchors for a real discount on this line are $509 against $599 in 2022 and $454.30 against $649.00 at Fully’s closing sale in April 2023. Wirecutter dropped the desk as a pick in its July 31, 2026 update over the higher price, the shorter warranty, the lost low-range laminate frame and discontinued bamboo sizes, and says it may still be worth buying on sale if you accept the shorter warranty. Its comparison table puts a 60-inch bamboo Uplift V3 at $890 and a 58-inch Branch Duo at $750. Delivery for the checked configuration was quoted at 13 weeks.
