Summary
A single-motor 48 × 24 in sit-stand desk with an embedded drawer, three USB charging ports and four height presets, aimed at light home-office use. Check two things before buying: the USB ports stop charging while the desk moves and cannot charge a laptop, and FlexiSpot’s own pages disagree on the warranty.
Strengths
- An embedded pull-out drawer and three USB ports are unusual in a 48-inch desk.
- Anti-collision is adjustable across four levels and can be turned off.
- The manual publishes a real troubleshooting table and a reset procedure.
- Four height presets, an LED touch keypad and a child lock are all standard.
- A single motor and 2-stage legs keep it a compact, light-duty desk.
Weaknesses
- USB charging pauses while the desk moves, and laptop charging is not supported.
- Duty cycle is 2 minutes on and 18 minutes off, and overwork is a named fault.
- Warranty is contradictory across FlexiSpot’s own pages, from 5 years to 15.
- Capacity is 110 lbs or 100 lbs depending on the variant.
- Casters, monitor mounts, cable trays and keyboard trays are not included or do not fit.
- No instrumented third-party test or owner discussion was found.

Which model this is
The Comhar 48 is not one SKU. FlexiSpot sells the same frame with a bamboo-texture top (EB8), a tempered-glass top (EG8/EW8) and a wooden top with a drawer (Q3/Q3-V2). The Comhar Pro Q8 is a different, dual-motor desk with a 55.1-inch top and 220 lb capacity and is not this product. This page covers the single-motor 48-inch Comhar family; the Amazon listing for the variant tracked here is ASIN B08SBL81LT. Confirm the top material and the USB port count from the unit itself, because the pages and the manual disagree.
USB charging and the duty cycle
FlexiSpot states on the product page that USB ports may pause charging while the desk adjusts height, and that laptop charging is not supported. The manual adds that output stops while the desk is in motion and resumes when it stops. The manual lists higher power ceilings than the page — up to 45 W on Type-C and 27 W on USB, with 7.5 W plus 7.5 W on dual ports — against the page’s lower Type-C listing. Treat the manual’s 45 W as a ceiling, not a promise. The duty cycle is short: the manual lists overwork at a maximum 2 minutes on and 18 minutes off, and says to restart after 18 minutes suspended with power connected.
Reliability, reset and repairs
The manual’s troubleshooting table names the failure modes directly: downward sliding, frequent repositioning, rising in slow speed, moving only down or only up, and a bottom that will not rise. Remedies come down to checking the cable, checking the load against the 110 lb maximum, repositioning, clearing obstructions or resetting. That the reset procedure exists — hold “3” and “4” for three seconds, then hold down until the desk bottoms out and rebounds — suggests losing the low end point is a normal event rather than an exotic failure. A troubleshooting table lists what can happen, not how often. Parts are individually identified in the manual — columns, support brackets, beam, drive rod, feet, baffle and adaptor — but no Comhar spare-parts page with prices was found.
Warranty
The manual and the bamboo page agree on a 5-year frame and a 2-year controller, electronics and other mechanisms; desktop coverage is 5 years for bamboo and 2 years for chipboard and fiberboard. The Q3 and glass pages instead state 15 years for the frame and 15 years for the electronics. Nothing reconciles them. Until FlexiSpot confirms which applies to a specific order, the defensible reading for a US purchase is 5 years for the frame and 2 years for the electronics. The warranty covers the original purchaser only and is void if labels are removed or tampered with or any component or external cover is removed.
Is it worth it?
FlexiSpot’s own editorial lists the glass-top Comhar 48 at $429.99 on FlexiSpot, an undated figure (FlexiSpot, 2026). For context, FlexiSpot’s Fall Refresh Sale on 2026-10-15 showed the E2 at $109.99, the E5 at $209.99, the E7 at $299.99, the E7 Pro at $369.99, the 4-leg E7 Plus at $499.99 and the E7L at $549.99, with a 12% coupon on orders of $200 or more. The Comhar makes sense below those prices, where the drawer and the USB ports are the payoff; at or above roughly $430 it competes with FlexiSpot’s own premium desks while carrying a single motor, a 110 lb limit and USB charging that will not run a laptop. Casters are sold separately, and the desk’s own accessory exclusions push monitor arms, cable trays and keyboard trays to third parties.
