Summary
The eufy Video Doorbell (Wired) S330 is a hardwired dual-camera doorbell: a 2K front camera for visitors plus a second camera watching the spot where packages land, with 8 GB of built-in storage and no monthly fee. Check your transformer before you buy, because eufy asks for 16–24 VAC at 30 VA or more and the 8 V and 16 V 10 VA units in many older homes are usually too weak.
Strengths
- Two lenses cover visitors and the drop zone for parcels in one unit.
- It runs on doorbell wiring, so there is no battery to recharge and no fee for recording or playback.
- About 90 days of motion events fit in 8 GB of built-in storage.
- It works on its own in the app, with no HomeBase hub to buy first.
- Alexa and Google Assistant are supported, and a chime is in the box.
Weaknesses
- The transformer is the trap: eufy says the 8 V and 16 V 10 VA units common in older homes are usually not enough.
- Recordings live on the doorbell, so a stolen or damaged unit takes its footage with it.
- No Apple HomeKit and no IFTTT support.
- It records motion events only, not 24/7 continuous video.
- CNET found night vision poor beyond about 10 ft on the battery version of this design.
- Alerts take several seconds to arrive, so catching a porch pirate after the fact is rarely possible.

Full research notes and sources
Two cameras, one doorbell
The S330 points two lenses at the same doorway. The upper camera records 2K (2560 × 1920) video across a 160° field of view, and the lower one looks down at the 97° patch of ground where couriers leave parcels, at 1080p (1600 × 1200). TechRadar lists that second camera at 130° instead, a conflict the official page settles in favour of 97°. Either way, the package view is a separate sensor, so the wide front shot does not have to double as a parcel shot.
eufy lists package detection, facial recognition and human detection on the unit, and asks you to mount it about 4 ft (1.2 m) up with a clear line to where deliveries are placed. The lower camera sees only what that angle gives it, so a mount that is too high or too far to the side costs you the parcel view.
Wiring and the transformer trap
There is no battery in this model and no battery mode. The S330 runs on existing doorbell wiring at 16–24 VAC and 30 VA or more. eufy warns that the 8 V and 16 V 10 VA transformers still common in older homes are usually not enough, and the symptoms show up as a doorbell that drops offline and a chime that misbehaves; the standard fix is a 24 V 40 VA transformer. Check yours before ordering, because that swap is the one part of this install that costs extra.
Weather is less of a worry. A chime is in the box, and it can also ring an Echo speaker; a Google Home Mini will not work as one.
Recordings live on the doorbell itself. eufy gives 8 GB of built-in memory and estimates about 90 days of motion events at 25 events a day of 15 seconds each, with the oldest clips overwritten first. That buys you history without a subscription, but it is event recording, not 24/7 continuous video, and eufy points continuous-recording shoppers at the Video Doorbell S4. A stolen or damaged doorbell takes its clips with it, and pairing a separately sold HomeBase is how you keep a second copy.
Independent testing of this exact wired model is thin. PCMag, CNET, Tom’s Guide and TechRadar all tested the battery and HomeBase version that shares the dual-camera design and the S330 name, so their findings describe the hardware and software but not the 8 GB wired unit. From those tests: PCMag praised sharp 2K video, free local storage and working package protection, and flagged the lack of HomeKit and IFTTT. CNET liked the dual-camera approach and the feature set but found night vision poor beyond about 10 ft and notifications arriving about 7 seconds late, and its test found the mounting hard to pull off. Tom’s Guide liked the easy install, the absence of subscription fees and the working people and package detection. TechRadar found clear, detailed footage day and night and called the body bulky. Nobody has published a failure rate for the wired S330, so read the night vision and alert-speed findings as flags for this design rather than defects in this version.
Is it worth it?
eufy’s own store lists the wired S330 at $179.99 (eufy, 2026), and Tom’s Guide’s review put the wired-only variant, the one that ships without the chime, at $199.99. The battery sibling that shares the dual-camera design carries a $259.99 MSRP and is usually sold below that. There is no mandatory running cost: recording and playback are included, and the optional cloud backup runs about $3 a month.
Against the package camera, the local storage and the absence of a subscription or a hub to buy, that price is fair for a home with usable doorbell wiring. It gets harder to justify if you want HomeKit, continuous recording or strong color night vision, since eufy does not offer the first, this model does not do the second, and the only lab tests of night performance came from the battery version.
Which model this is
This page covers the eufy Video Doorbell (Wired) S330, part e8203111, sold in black in the US. The listing this page covers is ASIN B0GHPW7SVQ.
Three similarly named products are not the same device. The battery-powered Video Doorbell Dual, later sold as the S330, comes with a HomeBase 2 hub, holds 16 GB and runs about six months on a charge. The eufyCam S330 is a solar camera, and the Video Doorbell E340 and S4 are different doorbells again. The wired S330 above has no battery, no hub and 8 GB of storage on the doorbell itself.
