Problems, parts and running costs

Summary

An all-in-one robot vacuum and mop with a self-cleaning HydroJet roller mop, 20,000 Pa claimed suction and a dock that empties dust, washes and dries the mop, handles water and dispenses detergent. Independent tests are strong on mopping, pet hair and obstacle avoidance, but owner reports of roller and sensor failures make warranty and service worth checking.

Strengths

  • The HydroJet roller keeps a freshly scrubbed mop on the floor continuously.
  • Vacuum Wars scored it above its tested-robot average, with strong pet and obstacle scores.
  • Owners in pet homes report never needing to remove hair from the main brushes.
  • The dock handles emptying, mop washing, drying and refills automatically.
  • TechRadar found good dust pickup and reliable obstacle avoidance.

Weaknesses

  • 20,000 Pa is a manufacturer maximum and does not predict pickup on every floor type.
  • TechRadar found the automatic logic did not always pick up tougher dried spills without manual mode changes.
  • Edge cleaning was weaker and larger debris was difficult.
  • Owners report a broken roller-brush holder, a failed roller-mop drive motor and a laser-sensor error, with no published failure rate.
  • The complex dock adds pumps, roller-drive hardware, water paths and sensors that all need cleaning.
  • No source provides a defensible long-term failure rate, so treat durability as unknown.

Mopping and suction

The defining feature is the mop architecture, not the suction claim. eufy runs a rolling mop against a dual-water-reservoir and scraper system while applying 15 N of downward pressure, so the pad is continuously cleaned rather than dragged around dirty. Vacuum Wars’ independent testing scored the E25 above its tested-robot average overall, and TechRadar found the mop could remove dried stains once cleaning intensity was raised, though the automatic settings did not always recognize the toughest spills and edge cleaning was weaker. The 20,000 Pa figure is the motor-system maximum and is not a direct predictor of floor pickup.

Pet hair and brushes

Anti-tangle behavior is the area where independent testing and owners agree most. Vacuum Wars gave the E25 high pet scores, one owner reports never needing to remove hair from the main brushes with only occasional cleaning under the side brushes, and another owner with about six months of use in a cat household reports no brush tangles. These are still anecdotal reports rather than a measured rate.

The dock and upkeep

The all-in-one station reduces routine mop handling but adds moving parts: pumps, roller-drive hardware, water paths and sensors that require cleaning and create extra failure points. Among the failures owners describe are a broken plastic roller-brush holder, two replacements on one unit (first a roller-mop mechanism fault, then a laser-sensor error), a roller-mop drive motor failing after about a year, and an eight-month-old unit that began leaving pet-hair clumps behind despite fresh accessories, after which eufy sent a replacement. None of that establishes how often the faults occur.

Is it worth it?

E25 makes the most sense in homes where mopping and pet-hair handling matter enough to justify a complex self-service dock. If you only want to vacuum, you may be paying for HydroJet plumbing and roller hardware you will not use. Independent tests support the cleaning concept, while the owner reports make warranty and service quality relevant for the more complex mop mechanism. Ongoing costs are dust bags, detergent and wear items such as brushes, filters and mop components.

Which model this is

This page covers the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E25, model family T2353, with HydroJet self-cleaning roller mopping. Do not merge it with the related E28, which shares much of the platform but adds features and uses separate SKUs. Some eufy bundle pages carry copied E28 wording, so the dedicated T2353 and E25 documentation takes priority.
