Problems, parts and running costs

Summary

A budget vacuum-only robot with a 2000Pa rating, a 0.6 L bin and a remote, with no app, Wi-Fi or mapping. Check your floor type and your pets before you buy: it navigates by random bounce, runs over pet waste, and its roller brush deformed after a month of heavy testing.

Strengths

  • Cleaning per dollar: 90% hard-floor and 69% carpet pickup in instrumented tests.
  • Quietest robot measured in its TechGearLab lineup, at 51.3 dB.
  • Low 2.9-inch body, the shortest in that lineup, fits under low furniture.
  • No account, app or Wi-Fi setup; the remote-only operation is refreshing.
  • Large 0.6 L bin for the price class means fewer empties.
  • Remote scheduling for running it while out.

Weaknesses

  • Random navigation with no obstacle detection, mapping or virtual barriers.
  • Runs over simulated pet-waste piles; not recommended for pets in training.
  • The roller brush deformed and separated after one month of heavy testing.
  • Only 60% of lifted pet hair reached the bin; the rest tangled on the brushes.
  • Dock-finding is unreliable and the light dock can be pushed around.
  • Beeps frequently when stuck, and sometimes needs rescuing.

Full research notes and sources

Independent evidence is unusually solid for the price. TechGearLab tested the exact model and returned an overall score of 55, ranking it 18th of 23, with carpet cleaning 6.8, ease of use 6.6, pet hair 6.1, hard floor 5.2 and navigation 3.4. It collected about 90% of the debris scattered on hard floor, hugging walls within roughly half an inch, and about 69% of the mess on carpet while missing a few central spots. Consumer Reports also has the exact model in its lab program and publishes the physical spec, but its scores require membership.

The weaknesses are navigation and upkeep. The robot moves in one direction until it hits something, bumps into feet, gets wedged between objects, cannot escape low stool bases, pushes socks and shoes along, runs over cables without capturing them, and runs over simulated dog-waste piles. Because there are no virtual barriers, keeping floors clear before a run is the user’s job. It also sometimes fails to find its own dock, and the dock is light enough that it may need taping down.

Noise, size and runtime

The 11S MAX measured the quietest and shortest robot in TechGearLab’s lineup, at 51.3 dB and 2.9 in tall. Runtime is the number most often misread: the 100-minute figure is Standard mode on hardwood, BoostIQ on carpet is about 60 minutes and Max on medium-pile carpet about 40 minutes. eufy’s own documentation rules out carpets thicker than 26 mm, warns against very dark floors because the cliff sensors work less reliably there, and warns against tasselled carpets. Charging from empty takes about 5 to 6 hours, and there is no charge-and-resume.

Maintenance, parts and warranty

TechGearLab found the roller brush visibly deformed and separated after one month of heavy testing and needing replacement; in the pet-hair test, roughly 86% of fur came off the carpet but only 60% reached the bin, the rest tangling on the roller and side brushes. eufy’s own support documentation treats hair-wrapped brushes, dirty charging contacts and the four-beep roller-brush error as routine, and supports ordering a replacement remote, bumper, swivel wheel and battery for this family. iFixit publishes step-level troubleshooting for the 11S MAX.

Warranty is 12 months on a new unit and 3 months on the refurbished version, which also includes lifetime technical support covering manufacturing defects but not misuse or accidental damage. The box includes a washable filter, an improvement over the sibling 11S.

Which model this is

This page covers the eufy RoboVac 11S MAX, model T2126. Do not merge it with the 1300Pa RoboVac 11S (T2108) or the Wi-Fi-capable RoboVac 15C MAX (T2128), which share the chassis but differ in suction and connectivity. The US Amazon listing for this model is ASIN B07R295MLS. Note two data traps: the maximum suction is 2000Pa, not the 1300Pa shown in one spec table, and syndicated listing copy claiming 4000Pa and Wi-Fi support describes a different machine.
