Ergohuman Eurotech ME7ERG GEN2: problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-17

Summary

The ME7ERG GEN2 is a high-back all-mesh chair whose recurring owner complaints are fit, not breakdowns: the headrest pushes the head forward for users under 5'2", the mesh seat can feel firm at first, and the multi-layer mesh is hard to clean. It has no consumables; the wear items are casters, arm pads, the gas cylinder and the mesh seat and headrest, and US dealers advertise a limited lifetime warranty on frame and components with 5 years on mesh. At $750-870 from US dealers it is a good buy; the manufacturer’s $1,550 list sits far above what dealers charge and is rarely what anyone pays.

Common problems and fixes

Parts and consumables

Yearly running cost

No consumables: the chair is fully mechanical and pneumatic, so a typical year costs $0 in consumables. Wear parts are replaced only as they fail: a replacement mesh headrest is $95 and a replacement mesh seat is $250 at Human Solution (checked 2026-10-16), and BTOD reports Eurotech honoring warranty claims on chairs over 10 years old with free replacement parts. No owner has published a typical annual parts spend. [2][4]
