Summary
A water-rinsable UV resin for LCD, MSLA and DLP printers, aimed at detailed miniatures, figures and display pieces rather than load-bearing parts. The catch is the process: wash water is contaminated waste that has to be collected and disposed of, and owners report prints gripping the build plate hard.
Strengths
- Water rinsing removes the need to buy isopropyl alcohol just for surface cleaning.
- ELEGOO lists it for its Mars, Saturn and Jupiter LCD printers and other MSLA and DLP machines.
- An owner using a Saturn 4 Ultra described the resin as unusually thin, matching the low-viscosity claim.
- Suited to fine miniatures, tabletop scenery and display pieces.
- Color choice runs from neutral Ceramic Grey to translucent variants.
- At $22.99 the 1 kg bottle undercuts Anycubic’s Water-Wash Resin 2.0 at $25.99.
Weaknesses
- Water-washable means water can clean uncured resin, not that the material is tough, safe or sewer-safe.
- Owners report prints that stick to the build plate so hard they must be pried off.
- Lowering bottom exposure to ease removal can make a print detach and stay on the vat film instead.
- Models fall off supports and stay in the vat in several owner reports.
- V2.0 has no published viscosity, tensile, hardness or shrinkage figures.
- Resin is a consumable with no warranty despite the storefront banner.
Verified specifications
| Material | UV-curable photopolymer resin for vat LCD, MSLA and DLP printers. |
|---|---|
| Version | Water-Washable V2.0, separate from V1.0, 8K Water-Washable V2.0 and ABS-Like V3.0. |
| Wavelength | sold for 405 nm-class resin printers; no full response curve is published. |
| Bottle | 1 kg default, with a 2 kg selector and colors including Ceramic Grey, Beige, Yellow, Mint Green, Black, Clear Green, Smoky Black, Clear Red, White, Clear Blue and Blue. |
| Cleaning | water rinses uncured residue; the resulting liquid is still hazardous waste. |
| Example exposure (third-party table) | 0.05 mm layers, about 2.8-3.2 s normal and 25-30 s bottom on several Saturn models. |
| Manufacturer claims | low viscosity, high flow, high detail, low shrinkage and fast curing, with no published figures. |
| Post-cure | washed parts still need complete drying and a UV cure. |
| Storage | keep the bottle closed and away from UV and heat; V2.0 shelf life is not published. |
| Warranty | the store banner reads “Up to 1-Year Warranty”, but the refund policy lists resin as a consumable with no warranty. |

Washing, drying and curing
Water is the cleaning medium, but the result is dirty water, not ordinary waste. Both Formlabs and Phrozen say to keep it in a labeled, lidded container and never pour it into a sink, toilet, yard or storm drain. Let prints dry fully before the UV cure, because moisture trapped in cavities can contribute to cracking. Water washing is not automatically faster end to end than solvent washing, since drying becomes a step of its own.
Gloves, eye protection and ventilation still apply. Low odor is a comfort claim, not proof of harmless fumes. The checked pages do not include a current V2.0 batch-specific safety sheet, so request one from the manufacturer before relying on hazard and storage details.
Print settings and build-plate grip
There is no universal exposure setting. A 2026 third-party table gives 0.05 mm layers at about 2.8-3.2 s normal and 25-30 s bottom on several Saturn generations, with some Mars models differing. A December 2024 Saturn 4 Ultra owner using V2.0 said prints had to be pried off; reducing bottom exposure then made parts drop or stick to the film. A November 2025 owner found about 10 seconds sometimes eased removal but detached a separate print. Treat 10 seconds as something to test, not a default, and check plate level, temperature, supports and cure before blaming the bottle.
What you pay
On ELEGOO US (checked October 14, 2026) the 1 kg bottle is $22.99, the 5 kg pack $85.99 (about $17.20/kg) and the 12 kg pack $189.99 (about $15.83/kg). Anycubic’s Water-Wash Resin 2.0 is $25.99 and ELEGOO’s own 8K Water-Wash V2.0 is $25.99; ELEGOO’s ABS-Like V3.0 is $17.99 if toughness matters more than water cleanup. A 25 g part-and-supports uses roughly $0.57 of resin, 50 g about $1.15 and 100 g about $2.30. There is no subscription; the recurring inputs are resin, failed prints, protective gear and waste handling.
Which version this is
This page covers Water-Washable Resin V2.0. Do not confuse it with the older V1.0, the 8K Water-Washable V2.0 or the ABS-Like V3.0; each is a separate formulation with its own catalog page. Match on version, color and bottle mass when reordering.
