Summary
The Dell SE2726H is a budget 27-inch Full HD IPS monitor that runs at 144 Hz with AMD FreeSync, built for office work and casual gaming. Check the stand before you buy: it tilts only, with no height adjustment, and the two inputs are HDMI 1.4 with no DisplayPort.
Strengths
- 144 Hz refresh rate is the main step up from 60-75 Hz office monitors.
- IPS panel gives consistent colors and wide viewing angles.
- Two HDMI ports let you keep a laptop and a desktop connected at once.
- An HDMI cable is included, so no extra cable is needed out of the box.
- Eye Comfort features and low blue light suit long sessions.
- VESA 100 x 100 mounting lets you put it on an arm or wall bracket.
Weaknesses
- A tilt-only stand means the screen height is fixed at your desk.
- 1080p on a 27-inch panel makes text and icons look softer than on higher-resolution screens.
- No DisplayPort input, so DisplayPort-only sources need an adapter.
- The color gamut is 72% NTSC, which is narrow for photo and video work.
- There are no speakers, so audio comes from your source device.
- The advertised 1 ms response is a motion-blur figure, not standard GTG performance.

Full research notes and sources
Smoothness and response time
The 144 Hz rate is what you notice day to day. Scrolling and mouse movement look smoother than on a 60 Hz office screen, and AMD FreeSync is supported for variable refresh when your graphics card allows it.
Response time is quoted three ways, which is why retailers disagree. Dell lists 1 ms MPRT, 4 ms GTG in Fast mode and 8 ms GTG in the standard mode. The 1 ms number is a motion-blur-reduction measure and does not describe normal pixel-to-pixel response, so treat 8 ms GTG as the everyday figure and 4 ms as the overdrive setting. No instrumented test of input lag or GTG response on this exact model was published, so neither number has been confirmed on real hardware, and it is not known whether overdrive causes overshoot.
Connectivity and the stand
Two HDMI 1.4 inputs are the whole connectivity story. Dell states that 1920 x 1080 at 144 Hz is the ceiling on these ports, which is exactly the mode this monitor runs in. There is no DisplayPort, so a source that only outputs DisplayPort needs an adapter, and nobody has published how the adapter behaves. Whether these ports work as expected with common consoles and graphics cards at 144 Hz is also untested.
The stand tilts from -5 to 21 degrees and nothing else. Height, swivel and pivot are all fixed, so plan your desk before you order. If you want more, the panel takes a VESA 100 x 100 mount, which covers most arms and wall brackets. Power runs off a detachable cable, and the box includes an HDMI cable. There are no speakers, so route audio through your computer or add external ones.
Color, viewing angles and eye comfort
Dell quotes 300 nits of brightness, a 1,000:1 native contrast ratio and a 72% NTSC color gamut. That gamut is the figure to watch: it is narrower than sRGB, and Dell does not publish an sRGB coverage number on the product page. The page also does not state whether the panel is flicker-free.
That write-up contains no brightness, contrast, color-accuracy or input-lag measurements, so treat its performance claims as one person’s impressions. No owner reports of dead pixels, backlight bleed, handshake problems or early failures were found for this exact model, and with such a thin search that is not evidence of reliability.
Is it worth it?
Dell lists the SE2726H at $109.99, with an estimated value of $119.99 (Dell US store, October 2026). At about $110 it is a reasonable buy for a 27-inch 144 Hz IPS monitor for office work, general use and casual gaming, if HDMI-only inputs and a tilt-only stand are acceptable to you. Above about $120 the value gets thin, because the page lists no height adjustment, no DisplayPort and a 72% NTSC gamut.
For competitive gaming, the SE2726HG is a different tier: KitGuru put the 240 Hz Fast IPS model at $130 (KitGuru, February 2026). The on-paper gap to the SE2726H is small, though real pricing for that model was not checked.
Running costs are nil: the panel needs no consumables, and the included HDMI cable covers 1080p at 144 Hz. The only extra spend is an adapter, if your source device only has DisplayPort.
Which model this is
This page covers the Dell SE2726H: a 27-inch 1080p IPS monitor at 144 Hz with a tilt-only stand and two HDMI 1.4 inputs. The name is easy to confuse with the SE2726HG and SE2726HGS, which are 240 Hz Fast IPS gaming monitors with 0.5 ms minimum response, FreeSync Premium, 99% sRGB, dual HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4. The SE2726HGS has a 110 mm height-adjustable stand, the SE2726HG a static tilt stand. The SE2726HS is a separate model as well. Dell publishes no hardware revision for the SE2726H, and MPN, GTIN and UPC were not verified.
