Summary
A prebuilt 1440p gaming PC pairing AMD’s 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 12GB from a large US builder. Check the warranty length and exact specs before buying — three sources disagree on coverage, and the 1TB SSD is small for the price class.
Strengths
- The 9900X tests strong in single-core and multi-threaded work.
- The RTX 5070 delivers roughly 20% over the RTX 4070 and handles 1440p with maxed settings.
- Plug-and-play setup from a large US builder with lifetime tech support.
- Standard ATX parts mean RAM, SSD and GPU upgrades are possible.
- The 9900X and RTX 5070 pairing is competent for 1440p gaming per component tests.
Weaknesses
- The 12GB VRAM on the RTX 5070 is the main documented limitation for ray tracing at high resolution.
- The 1TB SSD is small for a PC in this price class; the manufacturer’s own sibling ships 2TB.
- No professional instrumented review of this exact prebuilt exists; evidence is component-level and anecdotal.
- Warranty coverage conflicts across sources: 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years for comparable prebuilts.
- One 2025 same-vendor prebuilt arrived with a faulty motherboard that was not plug-and-play.
Verified specifications

Performance and components
The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core, 24-thread Zen 5 chip at 4.4 GHz base and up to 5.6 GHz boost, with 64 MB of L3 cache. WePC measured strong single-core performance and gaming frame rates in the 300s at 1080p, though they advise an X3D part for a pure gaming rig. UL Benchmarks recorded a 3DMark CPU Profile Max Threads score of 13,804. The chip carries a $449 MSRP.
The RTX 5070 launched at a $549 MSRP with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. Tom’s Hardware measured roughly 20% over the RTX 4070 it replaces and around 70 FPS in a native 1440p suite. TechPowerUp placed it around RTX 4070 Ti level, about 10% behind the 4070 Ti Super. TechSpot noted performance close to the RTX 4070 Super in several titles but called 12GB “a measly buffer” — in Stalker 2 at 1440p with hardware ray tracing, they measured 13 FPS average versus 47 FPS on the 16GB 4070 Ti Super. Tom’s Guide called the card an “awkward middle child”: good at 1440p and capable at 4K with DLSS, but they recommend the 5070 Ti or 5060 Ti 16GB instead.
The 32GB of DDR5 at 6000MHz exceeds AMD’s official DDR5-5600 rating for the 9900X, so it depends on EXPO being enabled and validated by the builder. This is not documented publicly for this SKU.
What owners report
Owner discussion is thin and mixed. In a 2025 r/CYBERPOWERPC thread, one buyer reported a faulty motherboard out of the box on a same-vendor 9800X3D and RTX 4070 Ti Super prebuilt — “not a true plug and play experience” — and rated it poorly after having to update BIOS, enable EXPO, reinstall drivers and Windows. A 2023 Tom’s Hardware forums review praised a CyberPowerPC build for clean cables, minimal bloatware and fast setup. Another r/CYBERPOWERPC reviewer noted solid cable management and expected BIOS and driver updates would be needed. A 2025 r/buildapcsales commenter said they would probably not buy a comparable 9800X3D and RTX 5070 system, citing VRM concerns and “decent” value. No failure-rate data exists for this SKU.
Warranty, parts and upgrades
Warranty is the key ownership variable and sources conflict three ways for comparable 9900X CyberPowerPC prebuilts. A Newegg spec sheet states 1 year parts and labor with free lifetime tech support. A Costco spec sheet states 2 years coverage. The manufacturer’s page for the sibling GML 99686 states a 3-year free service plan including labor and lifetime technical support. The exact warranty for this SKU must be confirmed with the seller.
Prebuilt vendors generally use standard ATX or micro-ATX parts, so RAM, SSD and GPU upgrades are possible, but proprietary motherboards, PSU form factors and BIOS support can limit paths. No documentation specific to this SKU was verified. The manufacturer’s sibling advertises free 2-day shipping and a 60-day return period.
Is it worth it?
The manufacturer’s near-identical GML 99686 — same CPU, GPU and chipset with a 2TB SSD — lists at $2,259 on CyberPowerPC’s site, marked down from $2,559, though it was out of stock at check time. Comparable 9900X-class CyberPowerPC prebuilts at Newegg range from $2,169.99 for a 2TB configuration upward. Component MSRPs alone — $449 for the 9900X and $549 for the RTX 5070 — total under $1,000 before RAM, storage, motherboard, PSU, chassis, assembly and warranty.
At this price the RTX 5070’s 12GB VRAM is the main long-term risk, and the 1TB SSD is the main day-to-day inconvenience. If you need more VRAM or storage headroom, Tom’s Guide recommends the 5070 Ti or 5060 Ti 16GB. If you can live with 12GB and 1TB, this is a competent 1440p machine with the reassurance of a large-vendor warranty — once you confirm which warranty applies.
Which model this is
This page covers the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR series prebuilt with model code GXiVR8080A41: Ryzen 9 9900X, RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB DDR5, 1TB SSD, B850, Windows 11 Home. The Amazon listing is ASIN B0DXVFWSS7. The manufacturer’s GML 99686 (model ET99686) is the same-platform sibling with a 2TB SSD, Phanteks Evolv X2s chassis, 360mm liquid cooling and 1000 W 80 Plus Gold PSU. Do not merge with the Ryzen 9 9900X3D, 9800X3D or Intel-based Gamer Xtreme and Gamer Supreme variants.
