Summary
A 2-spool filament dryer from Creality’s own Space Pi line, published on the company’s US store on 2026-09-22. Check the missing specification sheet before buying: no independent test or owner history exists for the exact model, and Creality’s published detail is five lines of marketing text.
Strengths
- Its 75 ℃ ceiling sits above the original Space Pi’s 45–70 ℃ range.
- Touch control and smart presets are built in, and the unit runs 360° hot-air circulation.
- A 2nd-generation smart sensor is claimed, without a published type or accuracy.
- Creality’s forum shows a parts channel exists for the Space Pi line, including a replacement blower fan.
Weaknesses
- No independent test and no owner history exist for the exact V2, four weeks after publication.
- The specification sheet is five lines of marketing text: no power rating, voltage, dimensions, weight, chamber volume, noise figure or timer range.
- The 75 ℃ ceiling is lower than the 4-spool SpacePi X4 and X4L at 85 ℃, which dry four spools in dual independent chambers.
- On earlier Space Pi dryers the top outlet grommet does not retain a PTFE tube, and the outlet fitting can be pushed inside the chamber and block filament.
- Family owners report an E4/EA heating and lid fault that in one case killed a dryer outright after about 10 months.
- Fan noise and blower failure appear on the family line, with one fan going noisy after about three months.

What Creality publishes, and what it doesn’t
Creality published the V2 on its US store on 2026-09-22 and lists it at $84.90 with a single variant. The published feature set is short and entirely manufacturer-supplied: up to 75 ℃, 360° hot-air circulation, a second-generation smart sensor, and smart presets with touch control. There is no power rating, chamber size, noise figure, weight, dimension list, timer range or filament-diameter statement in the official text. The product page carries images plus that description, and the V2 has no page on creality.com at all. For a device whose whole job is moisture control before a print, treat this as an incomplete specification sheet rather than a complete one.
The Space Pi family behind the V2
The evidence that does exist is about the family, not the V2. Owners on Creality’s forum discuss the first-generation Space Pi, the Plus and the Dual. The most substantive thread runs from September 2025: an owner whose dryer had sat mostly unused for 10 months threw an E4 error during a long PLA dry and then the unit died outright; a second owner’s Dual threw E4, would not heat with the display still live, and was sent a replacement circuit board under warranty. Several owners say the Dual will not read below roughly 35 % humidity and that silica gel inside the chamber is the practical fix, achieving about 24 % after adding 5 g packs, while a Plus owner reports 15 %. A thread from October 2026 reports a fan that became noisy after about three months, and an April 2026 thread is a request for a replacement blower fan after one failed. A March 2026 thread documents that the top filament outlet will not retain a PTFE tube and that the outlet fitting can be pushed inside the chamber and block filament. None of that is a V2 failure rate, but it is the best available read on how this product line behaves after the box is open.
Running costs, parts and repairs
The visible recurring costs are a replacement blower fan, PTFE tubing for direct-feed setups, and silica gel if the chamber reading will not go low enough. A Creality-branded replacement blower fan for the Space Pi dryer is referenced by a forum user whose fan failed: DC 12 V, 0.6 A, part marking EFB-06E12D/EFS-06E12D. That is evidence a parts channel exists for the line, though it was not verified on a Creality page. Support issued a replacement circuit board under warranty for an E4 fault on a family member, and there is no evidence of a board-repair program specific to the V2. Warranty terms were not verified; Creality’s warranty page is rendered dynamically and exposes separate categories for filament dryers and accessories.
Is it worth it?
At the official $84.90 the V2 is a fair entry purchase with documented gaps and no third-party testing. Between $86 and $95 it is fair, because above the manufacturer price you are paying for availability rather than extra capability. At $96 to $119 it is weak: the buyer is within $2 to $34 of the 4-spool SpacePi X4L at $119.00, which dries four spools in dual independent chambers with 200 W + 200 W PTC heating up to 85 ℃ and an EDry UI. Above $119 the V2 is poor value, because the X4L at $119.00 and the X4 at $159.00 are better-specified tools at or below those prices. If you need two spools and nothing more, the V2 is reasonable; if capacity is the question, step up to the X4L. Confirm the missing specifications with Creality support before buying, and plan to verify filament moisture yourself rather than trusting the on-screen reading.
Which model this is
This page covers the Creality Space Pi V2 Filament Dryer, SKU 4005010128, sold by Creality on its own US store under the handle creality-space-pi-v2-filament-dryer. The Amazon listing is ASIN B0CT59XN7F, which was not verified in this research. Do not merge it with the original Space Pi, the Space Pi V2 Plus, or the 4-spool SpacePi X4 and X4L, which are separate products with different temperature ceilings and spool counts.
