Summary
Creality’s first nozzle-changer printer: four independent filament paths with 4.8-second swaps on a 260 mm CoreXY bed, pre-ordering at $849 with US shipping estimated 2026-11-02. Check whether the features you want are in the $849 base kit or need unpriced optional accessories before you buy.
Strengths
- Four independent nozzle paths swap in 4.8 seconds, so multi-color prints waste less filament and time than single-nozzle purge systems.
- 260 mm cube build volume with a 300 °C hotend and 100 °C PEI bed covers most everyday materials.
- Nozzle assemblies cost about $14 to replace and swap with two screws.
- Open Klipper-based firmware with native Root access and OrcaSlicer compatibility.
- $849 pre-order undercuts the Bambu H2D and Prusa XL by roughly half.
Weaknesses
- Several headline features (mixed nozzle sizes, soft TPU, ABS/ASA/PC/PA, more than four colors) need unpriced optional kits.
- No heated chamber on the base model, so large warp-prone parts need the top cover.
- No independent test data yet; only creator reviews on Creality-supplied units.
- Creality’s first-generation implementations have historically shipped rougher and improved in later revisions.
- Four fixed color channels cannot be daisy-chained to 8 or 16 colors like AMS/CFS systems.

Nozzle changer and waste savings
Creality’s KliTek system swaps four complete nozzle assemblies in 4.8 seconds and changes material or color in under 15 seconds, with repositioning accuracy under 25 µm. Each assembly is about 54 g, roughly a fifth of a full toolhead, and costs about $14 to replace. Creality claims up to 80% shorter print time and up to 85% less filament versus single-nozzle multi-color workflows, and up to 30% efficiency from mixing nozzle sizes, plus 7x TPU flow (15 mm³/s for TPU 95A vs 2–3 mm³/s typical) and CMYK blending to about 25 hues. Creality’s own four published benchmark jobs show more modest results: 31–75% print-time savings and 68–92% filament savings. The 800,000-cycle durability figure and the 25 µm repeatability claim are manufacturer lab numbers with no independent verification.
Optional kits and what the base machine includes
The $849 base machine ships with four 0.4 mm nozzle assemblies and four spool slots on a 260 mm cube bed. Mixed nozzle diameters need the multi-nozzle kit (0.2/0.6/0.8 mm assemblies), softer TPU (90A/85A), PVA, BVOH and TPE need the TPU kit (4 dry boxes, CFS FLX, 4 high-flow nozzles), ABS/ASA/PC/PA/PP need the top cover, and more than four colors need a CFS Hub plus a CFS. Mixed-diameter printing was not yet enabled in pre-release software as of Creality’s October 10, 2026 FAQ. The base model has no heated chamber, so engineering materials need the cover’s passive insulation. Kit prices are unpublished, so the complete system cost is unknown.
Reliability and first-generation risk
No retail owner has a unit yet: US shipping is estimated 2026-11-02, and the only reviews so far are creator reviews on units Creality supplied. Creality’s first-generation implementations of competitor features (CFS vs AMS, K2 ringing) historically shipped rougher and were fixed in later revisions, so community commentary advises betting on KliTek v2, not v1. Trust concerns repeatedly raised include after-sales support, QC misses and dropping older models quickly. Launch friction included $50 deposits taken during a livestream before price was announced, a store page that showed the October 12 pre-sale date as the ship date (corrected by email as a system setting error), and a first batch shipping November 2. Four fixed channels cannot be daisy-chained to 8 or 16 colors.
Is it worth it?
Kits being unpriced means the complete system cost could shift the value materially. Recommended stance: wait for independent reviews and kit pricing unless mixed nozzle sizes or soft TPU are the specific reason to buy.
Which model this is
This page covers the base Creality K3, the KliTek nozzle-changer with a 260 mm cube bed, pre-ordering at $849 on Creality’s US store with shipping estimated 2026-11-02. Do not confuse it with the Creality K2, K2 Plus, K2 Pro or K2 SE, the SparkX i7/i8, or the Ender series. A larger K3 Plus or K3 Pro with a heated chamber and bigger bed is rumored but not announced by Creality; only the 260 mm base K3 exists in the official catalog. US input voltage is 100–127 V; rated 480 W at 100–127 V and 950 W at 200–240 V.
