What it is and why thickness matters

Pictor film is Creality’s own-brand high-speed release film for the Halot-Mage and Halot-Mage Pro 10-inch resin printers, and it is also the stock high-speed film in the Halot-Mage S. It measures 286 × 198 mm and is 0.3 mm thick, twice the thickness of the 0.15 mm regular FEP film Creality sells separately for the same printers. The store page does not publish the film’s material composition, UV transmittance or expected lifespan in prints or layers.

The 35% claim

The 35% peel-force reduction is a manufacturer claim with no published test method, baseline or independent verification. No independent instrumented test of Pictor film was found from any outlet. The closest independent evidence, a Liqcreate FEP-versus-PFA test, found FEP outperformed PFA, contradicting PFA marketing claims and underscoring that release-film performance claims deserve skepticism. A Dremc blog comparing FEP, nFEP and ACF films across brands including Creality reports that ACF consistently outlasts both FEP and nFEP under heavy use; this is a retailer blog, not a lab test, and does not name Pictor specifically. Industry guidance notes that switching between film types requires recalibrating exposure settings, and that ACF films can leave a faint textured look on large flat surfaces; these are category observations, not Pictor-specific measurements.

Creality US store lists the 1pcs variant at $25.91 (sold out) and the 3pcs pack at $71.99, with volume discounts down to $55.99 per unit (2026-10-16). The replacements collection page shows $79.99 (compare-at $99.99) (2026-10-16). The case for buying the OEM film is exact vat fit and the unverified 35% peel-force claim for high-speed printing; the case for third-party films is lower cost and, for nFEP and ACF, a larger independent evidence base. Until owner or lab evidence emerges, the 35% claim should be treated as marketing.

Which product this is

This page covers the 1pcs Pictor Film variant: 286 × 198 × 0.3 mm, 3-layered composite, for Halot-Mage, Halot-Mage Pro and Halot-Mage S. A 3pcs pack is also sold. Do not confuse it with Creality’s standard 0.15 mm FEP film for the same printers (2pc/5pc packs) or with the ACF-Basic film, a different size for different models. A forum user reports the Pictor spare has no blue protection sheet, unlike the stock film. Creality US store banners advertise “Up to 12-Month Warranty” and “14-Day Return & Refund” on the product page. 3DMax lists SKU 4004080017.
