Summary
The Creality K2 Combo is the base K2 enclosed CoreXY printer sold with one four-slot CFS multi-color unit. Check the chamber: the K2 has no active heater, so ABS and ASA are enclosure-dependent rather than chamber-verified.
Strengths
- An independent test measured PETG accuracy within 0.4 mm on a 150 mm span.
- The same test measured 54 dB average and 64 dB peak with two machines running and called it among the quietest printers used.
- About 30 days of near-continuous printing produced hundreds of parts with no parts replaced.
- Swapping the nozzle and extruder assembly with filament reloading took about 10 minutes.
- The included CFS gives four colors and chains to four units for sixteen colors.
- Independent and Creality figures agree on 600 mm/s maximum and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration.
Weaknesses
- There is no active chamber heater and no published chamber temperature, so ABS and ASA are enclosure-dependent.
- 600 mm/s is a rating, not a measured print speed; the reviewer reached 600 mm/s travel but not 600 mm/s print.
- Creality Print is a reskinned OrcaSlicer and the firmware a reskinned Klipper, and the reviewer calls both locked down.
- Nozzles and extruders are proprietary, which narrows third-party parts options.
- The CFS dries filament with desiccant only, not heat.
- There is no RFID reader and, per Creality’s comparison table, no nozzle AI camera for auto flow-rate calibration.

Speed and noise in practice
One instrumented hands-on review of the exact K2 exists: 3DPrint.com in October 2025, on units supplied free by Creality. In PETG it measured 99.8, 99.7 and 100.4 mm on 100 mm axes and 149.6 and 149.9 mm on a 150 mm span, with diagonals at 134.8 and 134.7 mm of 135. It measured 54 dB average and 64 dB peak with the K2 and K2 Pro both running and called the K2 among the quietest printers it had used. It reached 600 mm/s travel speed but not 600 mm/s print speed and attributed the limit to hotend flow rate.
The 45 dB figure repeated in some deal coverage is not attributed to a measurement, and Creality’s own datasheet uses it at 300 mm/s, so treat the instrumented 54 dB average as the only measured noise figure.
Software and repairability
The reviewer’s complaints were about software: Creality Print is a reskinned OrcaSlicer and the firmware a reskinned Klipper, but he considers both locked down rather than open, which limits user modification. Nozzles and extruders are proprietary, narrowing third-party sourcing. Time-lapse files cannot be pulled from the slicer and require physical USB retrieval from the printer. On serviceability, he removed and swapped the nozzle and extruder assembly including filament reloading in about 10 minutes, called replacement parts relatively affordable, and replaced no parts during roughly 30 days of heavy use.
Multicolor and the CFS
Multicolor comes from the included CFS, a four-slot unit; three more units are needed for sixteen colors, sold separately. The CFS is powered over the Creality 485 connection at 20 W with no separate power supply when connected to the printer, and it dries filament with desiccant rather than heat, which matters in humid climates and for hygroscopic filament. The base K2 has no RFID filament reader, so automatic filament identification does not work on this model.
Where it sits in the K2 family
This is the entry model of the K2 series. It is not the K2 Pro (300 mm cube with a 60 °C chamber) or the K2 Plus (350 mm cube with a 60 °C chamber); those add the heated chamber, the larger volume, RFID and a nozzle AI camera. The independent reviewer’s own conclusion is that the K2 Pro’s extra cost pays off mainly for high-temperature material or prints larger than 260 mm. Below the K2 in price is the K2 SE, a different model.
Which model this is
This page covers the base K2 sold as the K2 Combo with one CFS unit, identified by its 260 × 260 × 260 mm build volume, three step-servo motors on X/Y/extruder, 8 GB storage, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz only and a 4-inch screen. The listing this page covers is ASIN B0FC2CZ11V, though the mapping from that ASIN to the K2 Combo configuration is assumed rather than confirmed. Belt tensioning is manual and the frame material is not fully specified for the base K2.
