Summary
A carbon-fiber PLA filament for stiffer, matte functional parts on modern high-speed printers. Check your nozzle before you buy: carbon fiber is abrasive, so a hardened steel nozzle is recommended, and the manufacturer publishes no official temperature or mechanical specifications.
Strengths
- Matte, less glossy surface that hides layer lines and gives a utilitarian look.
- Stiffer than standard PLA for functional parts such as brackets and fixtures.
- Successful prints reported on Creality K1, K1C, K1 Max and K2-series machines.
- Filament quality praised by at least one long-term user despite spool-winding complaints.
- No capsule or material lock-in; the RFID version is only needed for CFS.
Weaknesses
- Manufacturer publishes no official nozzle or bed temperatures, mechanical data, storage guidance, or warranty terms.
- Owner reports include stringing, poor layer adhesion, and clogs extending into the extruder.
- 0.2 mm nozzles reported as too small; 0.4 mm hardened steel is recommended.
- Spool-winding and AMS compatibility complaints reported for Creality filament.
- Abrasive filament requires hardened nozzles for long-term use.
- No temperature resistance; it does not replace hotter-use materials.

Owner-reported settings and results
Owner reports from the Creality community forum describe a Creality Print profile for Hyper PLA-CF set to 220 C nozzle with an assumed 50 C bed, and successful K1C prints with a 0.4 mm hardened-steel nozzle at 220 C, bed 50-60 C on smooth PEI, at 250 mm/s. These are user settings, not manufacturer specifications. Other owners report stringing, poor layer adhesion, clogging when switching from standard Hyper PLA, bowden-tube friction, and bed-adhesion or Z-offset tweaks such as +0.05 mm.
Upkeep and running costs
The practical extras are a hardened-steel nozzle for the abrasive filament, a filament dryer or desiccant and storage, and possible nozzle replacement after clogs. The manufacturer store price is dynamic and was not present in the fetched pages. No warranty or return terms for the filament were found in the sources read.
Is it worth it?
Hyper PLA-CF is worth considering when a part needs more stiffness and a matte finish than standard PLA provides and the printer can run abrasive filament with a hardened nozzle. For low-stress or decorative parts, standard PLA is usually the better value.
Which model this is
This page covers the Creality Hyper Series PLA Carbon Fibre 3D Printing Filament, 1 kg, Black, product handle hyper-pla-cf on the Creality store. It is a 1.75 mm PLA-based carbon-fiber composite on a 1 kg spool. A separate RFID-spool variant exists for Creality CFS systems. Do not confuse it with Creality CR-PLA Carbon, standard Hyper PLA (non-CF), or Creality’s PPA-CF and PAHT-CF engineering filaments. Color availability differs by region: the US store lists Black, Dark Green, Ochre Greyish, Purple and Yellow, while the EU store page lists Black. The Amazon listing for this filament is ASIN B0CP7SFQG9.
