Summary
A 1 kg glow-in-the-dark PLA spool with RFID tagging for Creality’s CFS, aimed at decorative prints that glow after light exposure. Check your nozzle and printer setup before buying: the luminous pigment can wear brass nozzles, and RFID may not auto-register on every Creality machine.
Strengths
- Glow-in-the-dark afterglow suits decorative, signage and toy prints.
- Ordinary PLA temperature window (190–230 °C) fits many FDM machines.
- Clear part identity via SKU and EAN reduces mix-ups with non-luminous pink.
- RFID tagging can auto-populate material on supported, updated Creality machines.
- The official US listing shows $19.99 per 1 kg spool, with tiered discounts at 5, 10 and 20 spools.
- A few verified buyers of the line report strong afterglow on printed parts.
Weaknesses
- Glow-in-the-dark PLA is generally more brittle than standard PLA.
- Glow pigment can wear brass nozzles; a hardened steel nozzle is recommended for regular use.
- Glow brightness decays quickly; even the best tested filaments reach about 10% of initial brightness after two hours.
- RFID may not auto-register on some machines or firmware versions, and CFS feeding problems have been reported on the luminous family.
- No independent instrumented test of this exact filament exists.
- Mechanical values come from a retailer table, not a verified technical data sheet, and the $28.90 compare-at figure is not evidence of a genuine previous paid price.

Printing temperatures and speeds
Creality’s store and retailer sheets list 190–230 °C nozzle and 50–60 °C bed, with 50–100 mm/s as the commonly cited speed range. Some retailer sheets list 30–300 mm/s. Start near 50–100 mm/s and calibrate maximum volumetric flow for your nozzle and geometry; do not assume ordinary Hyper PLA’s 30–600 mm/s headline applies to this luminous variant. Enclosure is not advertised as required, and 100% part cooling is recommended.
Glow performance
The manufacturer describes light-storing particles charged by UV or sunlight, but no authoritative pink-specific data on pigment composition, afterglow intensity, charging requirements or persistence curve was established. Glow must be recharged and fades; geometry, pigment loading and prior lighting all affect the result. “Glows for hours” in other-color testimonials is not a certified threshold for pink. Keep finished parts out of extreme heat and humidity; no validated Creality luminous-pink drying schedule was found, so do not invent a 55 °C recipe from another brand.
Nozzle wear and CFS feeding
Glow filaments are a verified class-level wear risk: CNC Kitchen testing shows filled pigments differ sharply in abrasion from ordinary PLA, and Polymaker’s guidance for its own glow PLA requires a hardened nozzle. Owners report brass nozzles wearing within about a spool, plus gouged PTFE tubes and CFS feeding problems on the luminous family, including retraction failures and mid-print loss of extrusion. Diagnose with a clean nozzle, direct feed path and dry material before blaming the batch. Creality’s $23.75 hardened-steel nozzle kit is listed for classic MK8-style Ender and CR-10 machines, not necessarily K2, Hi or Unicorn hotends. A compatible 1 m PTFE tube segment is $11.58. No measured wear interval exists for this SKU.
Is it worth it?
Creality’s US store showed $19.99 for a 1 kg spool in October 2026, with a $28.90 compare-at price, and bulk tiers of $16.99 at 5 spools, $15.99 at 10 and $14.99 at 20 if the order qualifies. A qualifying five-roll order would be $84.95. At the single-roll price, 1 kg per year is $19.99, 3 kg is $59.97 and 5 kg is $99.95. Polymaker Panchroma Luminous Pink is $24.99 per kilogram, and regular Creality Hyper PLA RFID (non-luminous) is about $21.00, with ordinary Hyper PLA at $19.99. Value is reasonable at $17–$20 per kilogram if your nozzle and feed path already handle glow additives; below $16 is strong value if stock is confirmed, and above $25 is weak against the checked official ask. RFID only adds value on supported Creality printers.
Which model this is
This page covers Creality Hyper PLA RFID Luminous, Pink, 1.75 mm, 1 kg, item 3301010539, EAN 6977905743742. It is not ordinary Hyper PLA RFID (no luminous pigment), Hyper PLA Stardust (sparkle effect), or a generic non-RFID glow filament. The line also comes in yellow (3301010538), blue (3301010540) and green (3301010541). No independent instrumented test of this exact filament was found, and no filament-specific warranty terms beyond the general 14-day return policy were published.
