Summary
A high-speed PETG filament spool for everyday utility prints, sold in Transparent with published mechanical data and a low US price. Check your hotend before buying: the 300 mm/s headline needs high flow, and Creality’s own pages disagree on bed temperature.
Strengths
- Publishes mechanical data (48 MPa tensile, 83°C Vicat) that many low-cost PETG spools omit.
- The Transparent colorway is marketed for high light transmission.
- Owners report good print quality, low stringing and speed against other PETG.
- Sold with a 12-month warranty and 14-day returns on Creality’s US store pages.
Weaknesses
- No independent instrumented lab test of this exact filament exists; the mechanical numbers are manufacturer-published.
- The 300 mm/s figure needs roughly 27-60 mm³/s, beyond many stock hotends.
- Creality’s pages disagree on bed temperature (45°C vs 70-80°C) and nozzle range (190-260°C vs 220-260°C).
- Owners report PETG jamming in extruder gears on K2 machines, traced to a default profile that leaves the chamber fan disabled.
- One owner reports about 30 failed prints across two Hyper PETG cardboard spools with no fix found.
- Some spools are cardboard, which the maker’s own CFS guidance does not recommend for its feed system.

Print speed and what actually limits it
The 300 mm/s headline is a flow capability, not a quality promise. At a 0.45 x 0.20 mm line that speed needs about 27 mm³/s, and at 0.66 x 0.30 mm it needs about 59.4 mm³/s, which exceeds many stock hotends. Your usable ceiling is set by hotend flow, nozzle, layer height, cooling and part geometry, so a high-flow profile is what makes the speed real. Treat 300 mm/s as the defensible maximum and ignore the “up to 600 mm/s” wording on some regional store pages.
Drying and storage
PETG absorbs moisture, and moisture is the first thing to check when a spool that printed cleanly starts stringing or losing layer adhesion. Creality instructs dry, ventilated storage and drying at 50°C for more than 8 hours; its dryer chart lists PETG at 60°C for 8-12 hours when symptoms appear. Owners say drying restores bed and layer adhesion and cuts stringing. A dryer or dry box is the practical extra cost of running PETG.
Settings that owners use
Creality’s own documents conflict, so start from owner practice: most report a 70-80°C bed and a 235-255°C nozzle. A K2 Plus owner who hit extruder-gear jamming after about 15 minutes traced it to the chamber fan being off in the default Hyper PETG profile, warming the filament near its softening point; enabling the chamber fan fixed a 4.5-hour print. If your printer has a chamber fan, check that the profile sets it correctly.
Is it worth it?
The Creality US store lists the 1 kg spool at about $18.99, down from $25.99 (October 2026). At that price Hyper PETG is reasonable value for utility prints when you already have a dryer and a hotend that can use the high-flow formulation. Above roughly $25 the case weakens unless you specifically want the Transparent colorway, because the missing independent testing is a real gap. The Transparent spool also carries SKU 3301030042 and EAN 6971636401964.
