Summary
A floor-standing, duct-connected fume extractor for laser engravers, with a particulate pre-filter, a particle stage and an activated-carbon stage, aimed at regular users who cannot vent outdoors. Check filter supply and running cost before buying: the 310 m³/h figure is a system specification, not a measured flow at the nozzle.
Strengths
- A Falcon A1 owner on Creality’s community forum (September 2025) reported no smoke in the room when using the YW200, though a light smell sometimes remained; the owner still called it expensive.
- The pre-filter, particle filter and carbon stage lift out from the top; casters, handles and a dial make the unit straightforward to use.
- Manufacturer guidance explains accessible filter changes and troubleshooting.
- Wheeled chassis and handles allow repositioning; fan speed adjusted with a manual knob.
Weaknesses
- The 310 m³/h figure is a manufacturer system specification, not a measured flow at the cutting nozzle through a loaded filter.
- 99.97% at 0.3 µm is a manufacturer claim with no independent laboratory verification; listings disagree on particle size (0.03 µm).
- Particle filters do not remove all gaseous contaminants; EPA recommends source control and ventilation, with filtration as a supplement.
- Residual odors can remain; the carbon stage saturates and the manual says replace the main filter when it no longer controls odors.
- Replacement filter availability is uncertain outside the US; a UK user in October 2026 reported difficulty locating kits.
- Floor footprint, a compatible 75 mm duct and careful hose routing are needed; tight bends and a distant source reduce suction.

Filters and running costs
The official complete replacement kit is Creality 4008060113 (CRE-4008060113), EAN 6971636403272, listed at $79.90 on the US Creality Falcon store with a crossed-out $125, and $125 in the VIP catalog. It contains five pre-filters plus one efficient filter plus one carbon filter. Replacing the complete kit every 3 to 6 months puts two to four kits a year, or $159.80 to $319.60 before tax and shipping. The pre-filter pads are disposable and should not be washed and reused; retailers suggest 7 to 15 operating days, while the manual stresses replacement at about 70% irreversible dust coverage. A separately priced US pre-filter pack was not found. Electricity is modest: the 180 W maximum rating means at most 93.6 kWh per year at 10 hours a week at full power, or about $18.72 at an assumed $0.20 per kWh. A first-year operating scenario is roughly $178.52 to $338.32 for kits plus that electricity, excluding extra pre-filters, hose, tax and shipping.
Flow and capture
The manual specifies a 310 m³/h system flow and a 75 mm inlet flange, and warns that tight hose bends and a source too far from the pickup reduce suction; it suggests placing the inlet within 150 mm of the work for direct capture. Flow becomes weak when the duct or inlet is blocked or the filter is saturated; the manual says to switch off, unplug, inspect and replace a spent filter rather than run without filtration. If the unit starts then shuts down, restricted airflow can raise fan startup current and trip protection; clear obstructions and restart at the lowest speed.
Noise and space
Manufacturer specification is under 55 dB, not independently measured across fan speeds. The unit weighs 15.3 kg (33.7 lb) with a 414 × 238 × 458 mm body, needs floor space, and a compatible 75 mm duct or adapter. Wheeled chassis and handles allow repositioning.
Is it worth it?
US pricing checked October 2026, excluding taxes and shipping: the Creality Falcon US store lists the YW200 at $499, with a crossed-out $649; the VIP catalog also shows $649. A good buy target is $450 or lower with a clear path to replacement filters. Between $450 and $550 is the normal decision range. Above $600, reconsider: the Creality Falcon Desktop Smoke Purifier for Falcon A1 is $179, a smaller two-layer machine, and the xTool SafetyPro AP2 is rated at 150 m³/h and 120 W. For a small Falcon A1, the desktop unit at $179 fits casual use. Warranty is 12 months on qualifying performance failures with normal use and proof of purchase; consumable filters are not assumed to carry that coverage. Support is at support@crealityfalcon.com and falcon@creality.com.
Which model this is
This page covers the Creality Falcon Smoke Purifier YW200, not the later Falcon AP1, AP1 mini, or the 45W desktop purifier. The US version carries SKU 4008060114. Hardware model codes include 4008060132 (general) and EU version 4008060112. Do not confuse it with the Falcon AP1 mini at $299 or the desktop purifier at $179, which are different machines with different filter systems.
