Summary
Creality’s budget 95A flexible filament, sold as a 1 kg 1.75 mm spool for direct-drive printers and slow, careful printing. Check the print-speed claim before you buy: the listing says up to 120 mm/s, but the manufacturer datasheet specifies 15–50 mm/s.
Strengths
- The manufacturer datasheet is complete, covering temperature, speed, retraction, density and elongation.
- Cheap for a 1 kg spool of 95A TPU.
- Sits at the harder, more printable end of flexible filament.
- One retailer calls it good quality and easy to master on a direct-drive printer.
- Designed to work with most FDM printers.
- Creality publishes clear drying and storage guidance for it.
Weaknesses
- No instrumented independent test from any established outlet.
- Owner reports skew negative: hard to print, filament stuck to itself on the spool, post-print clogs.
- Not supported through Creality’s CFS multi-material system or the PTFE feed path.
- The listing’s 120 mm/s speed claim is unsupported by the datasheet.
- Needs drying before printing or it oozes and strings.
- Creality’s own documents disagree on hardness, listing 95A in the datasheet and 85A in one blog appendix.

Print settings and preparation
Start from the datasheet: 210–240 °C at the nozzle, a 60 °C bed, 15–50 mm/s and 2 mm of retraction. Creality’s beginner guidance is stricter and suggests 15–30 mm/s, while community threads run it around 35–50 mm/s and warn that going too slowly invites heat creep and clogs. Keep retraction minimal or off; the general guide suggests 0.5–1.0 mm, well under the datasheet’s 2 mm. Dry the spool first, because moisture causes oozing and stringing.
Printer and multi-material limits
TPU wants a direct-drive extruder; on a Bowden setup it typically needs very slow speeds and harder grades. Creality says not to run TPU through the CFS multi-material system and not to feed it directly through the PTFE tube, because it bends and resists feed. A Creality forum poster claims TPU is not officially supported on the K2, but Creality’s own K2 wiki carries a TPU printing guide, so treat the wiki as the manufacturer position.
What owners report
Independent owner evidence is thin and leans negative. Multiple owners describe CR-TPU as hard or impossible to print cleanly, with filament that comes stuck to itself on the spool and clogs that need the extruder taken apart. In a Creality K2 thread one owner reports a decent print followed by nothing but fuzz on identical settings, aborting about 4 prints for every 1 completed. These are individual reports across different printers; several are the generic difficulties of any 95A TPU, not a defect rate.
Is it worth it?
At the low street price it is a cheap way to try 95A TPU on a direct-drive printer, and Creality’s own EU store lists it at €29.99 against a €34.99 reference, with volume discounts of 15% at 5 spools, 20% at 10 and 25% at 20. 3D Printer World cites $21.99/kg and Filaments.lv lists a 1 kg spool at €24.90. If you print through a Bowden machine or a multi-material system, the constraints and the thin independent evidence point to a more established TPU brand instead.
Which model this is
This is Creality CR-TPU, the maker’s house-brand 95A flexible filament in a 1 kg spool, and it is separate from the higher-flow HP-TPU line and from older listings labelled “Official Creality TPU”. Resellers show manufacturer part numbers 3301040039 and 3301040040. The datasheet is version 1.0, dated 2022-11.
The Amazon listing is ASIN B0F9NXK74R.
