Summary

Creality-branded PETG filament in pink, 1.75 mm, sold in two different formats: a spooled 1 kg Amazon listing and a spool-free refill. Check which format the listing ships and whether you already own a compatible reusable spool before buying.

Strengths

  • PETG offers lower shrink and better toughness than basic PLA for brackets, holders and printer parts.
  • The spool-free format avoids discarding a new reel when a compatible one is already owned.
  • Price can be competitive with an existing spool: $16.14 for the exact pink refill.
  • Mixed owner reports describe workable 245°C/80°C profiles and good outcomes on CR-PETG generally.

Weaknesses

  • No independent instrumented test of this exact pink filament was found.
  • Print settings, tolerances and owner-test data are not published for this variant.
  • The refill requires a compatible reusable spool; one owner reported poor fit with a Sunlu detachable reel.
  • PETG strings and oozes; it needs temperature, retraction and moisture control.
  • Warranty coverage for an opened spool is not clearly stated.

Settings and material data

Creality’s CR-PETG series technical data sheet recommends nozzle 230-250°C, bed 60-100°C and speed 40-80 mm/s, with test coupons printed at 240°C nozzle, 70°C bed and 60 mm/s. Retailers specific to the pink refill narrow the bed to 60-80°C or 70-80°C, and one lists nozzle 220-250°C, so the recommendations are not identical. For a new setup, start from a calibrated CR-PETG profile and test adhesion and temperature rather than assuming one fixed value. The older series TDS gives density 1.27 ±0.1 g/cm³ and strength figures above, but those were not independently measured for the 2026 pink refill and the TDS warns real performance depends on geometry and processing. International retailers disagree on tensile strength: 49 MPa for the pink refill versus 47 MPa for the spooled pink listing, with no direct color or lot lab report to reconcile them.

Spool-free vs spooled

The spooled Amazon listing is model CR-PETG-Pink with UPC 850064863017 and EAN 085006486301, while the spool-free refill carries EAN 6977905742455; these are distinct formats and the package should be matched to the desired one.

Creality’s own store does not appear to sell this exact spooled 1 kg pink variant; it sells a spool-free CR PETG 1 kg and a CR-PETG sample pack instead. The store’s spool-free page displayed $12.99 for a default Technology Blue selection, not a verified pink option.

A reusable spool is required for the refill and is not included. A historical Bambu Lab catalog listing showed $11.99 for a reusable spool, but whether that spool fits this refill could not be reconfirmed. Walmart advertises compatibility with Bambu Lab reusable spools, but no universal-fit certification was found.

The exact pink refill displayed $16.14 on Walmart in October 2026, with an earlier snapshot at $16.99 for the same listing. Creality’s store showed $12.99 for the generic spool-free variant, with multibuy amounts of $11.04 each at five, $10.39 at ten and $9.74 at twenty, none verified as a pink checkout offer. ELEGOO PETG Pro Pink was $13.99 per 1 kg on an included cardboard spool, and PETGUSA UltraDry Basic Pink was $15.00 on a regular spool. Value thresholds: under $14 per kg is a good buy for the exact pink refill provided a fitting spool is already owned; at $14-16 per kg value depends on shade preference and spool ownership; above $16 per kg, especially for a first-time refill buyer, ELEGOO PETG Pro Pink at $13.99 on an included spool becomes the more attractive simple purchase. At the observed $16.14 per kg, illustrative filament-only costs are $64.56 for 4 kg, $193.68 for 12 kg and $387.36 for 24 kg. A separately purchased spool can wipe out the refill saving on the first roll.

Problems owners report

PETG is prone to stringing and oozing, especially with unsuitable retraction, temperature or absorbed moisture. In a February-April 2026 r/Creality thread, one owner reported substantially more stringing than PLA even with Creality defaults, while another found Creality PETG more stringy than other brands despite overnight drying, with commenters noting the filaments had not been individually profile-calibrated. A July 2026 owner complaint covers white CR-PETG across six rolls from two sources, claiming shifted translucency and extrusion quality despite drying; this is one customer’s report about white, not proof of a formulation change in pink. An April 2026 commenter reported poor bonding in black CR-PETG even at 250°C, and a January 2026 user described brittle Creality PETG prints, with independent causes such as low effective temperature, cooling, feed problems and wet material remaining possible. A K2 Plus community thread reports CR-PETG jams with a then-default profile at high volumetric speed, improving with reduced speed and a different first-layer height, which is printer and slicer specific. PETG may also stick too strongly to smooth PEI and damage it on removal; Prusa advises a textured or satin plate or a PVA or glue separation layer. No pink-specific failure rate or defect percentage was established.

Which model this is

This page covers Creality CR-PETG in pink at 1.75 mm. The spooled Amazon listing is ASIN B0D4PMYMZF, model CR-PETG-Pink, UPC 850064863017. The spool-free refill is EAN 6977905742455. Do not confuse either with Creality’s spool-free CR PETG 1 kg generic listing, the CR-PETG sample pack, or Creality Hyper PETG.
