Summary
The SPARKX i7 Autofill pairs Creality’s 260 × 260 × 255 mm open-frame bedslinger with the two-slot CFS Mini, which swaps to a second spool when the first runs out. It is not a multicolor machine, so check that automatic refill of one color is all you need before buying.
Strengths
- Independent tests rate the i7 platform highly for an entry-level open-frame printer.
- Setup is easy and the machine is almost fully assembled out of the box.
- Standard mode runs quietly, and Night Mode sits around 45 dB.
- Auto bed leveling is reliable, with first layers matching more expensive enclosed printers.
- Tolerance tests came back near ±0.05 mm on pegs and dowels.
- The direct-drive extruder printed soft 85A TPU without trouble.
Weaknesses
- The CFS Mini does not print multicolor; it only refills one color automatically.
- Four-color prints waste heavily, reported above a 15:1 purge-to-part ratio on some figures.
- Open spool racks expose filament to humidity, and untreated PLA turned brittle within days in one test.
- Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only, and cloud printing sometimes forces a fallback to USB.
- The 2.85-inch touchscreen is laggy next to Bambu Lab’s.
- No independent test covers the Autofill bundle itself, only the platform and the CFS Lite and Nano units.

Full research notes and sources
Which model this is
The SPARKX i7 family comes in four configurations: the bare i7, the Autofill (i7 plus CFS Mini), the Nano Combo (i7 plus CFS Nano), and the Color Combo (i7 plus CFS Lite). This page covers the Autofill bundle, which joins the single-nozzle printer to the two-slot CFS Mini. The listing behind this page points at ASIN B0GXTXJL6N.
Print quality, speed and noise
PCMag tested a Color Combo and scored it 4.0, calling first-layer quality as good as any tested, including enclosed machines; its tolerance tests came back at +0.05 mm. Tom’s Hardware gave the platform an Editor’s Choice and described standard-mode printing as quiet, with a low CFS feeding rumble. 3DWork measured Night Mode around 45 dB. The 500 mm/s figure is an advertised movement speed, not a typical print speed.
Filament and the CFS Mini
The CFS Mini holds two open spools and handles auto load, unload, refill, run-out detection, and tangle detection. It supports PLA, PETG, PLA-CF, and TPU rated shore 64D or harder, with spool limits of 32–70 mm inner diameter, up to 220 mm outer diameter, and 10–70 mm width. There is no proprietary filament lock-in, but the open rack gives no humidity protection. Four-color work is a different product: the Nano Combo and Color Combo use the CFS Nano and CFS Lite.
Parts, upkeep and warranty
Creality sells i7 spares on its US store: a hotend at $12.99, hotend heating assembly at $7.99, extrusion assembly at $16.99, dual-texture PEI plate at $9.99, toolhead filament cutter at $5.99, and spare screws at $2.99. The CFS Mini sells on its own at $49. Upkeep is manual: belt tensioning, rail lubrication, nozzle cleaning, and checking the PTFE connections after the first prints. Creality’s store shows a warranty of up to 12 months and a 14-day return, while PCMag lists one year for parts and labor. No long-term reliability data exists, and the only named defect in testing was a loose connector in a CFS Lite bay.
Is it worth it?
If you need multicolor, budget $299 for the Nano Combo or $349 for the Color Combo. Beginners who print in one color and want an easy, quiet machine with automatic spool swap get the most here.
