COMFEE' Stainless Steel 1.7L (CEKS001): problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-05

Summary

The most consistent complaint is the hot single-wall stainless body, which is a design characteristic rather than a fault. Durability feedback is mixed: interior rust-like marks, leaking from the bottom and lid stiffness appear in owner reports alongside units that keep working for years, and no failure rate is published. Running cost is electricity only, around 0.153 kWh per full boil, and the kettle is a good buy at $27 or less.

Yearly running cost

Electricity is the only running cost. One hands-on boil test measured 0.153 kWh for a full 1.7 L fill, so boiling a full pot once a day works out at about 55.8 kWh a year. The bill depends on the local electricity rate and on how full you fill the kettle, since a part-fill boil uses proportionally less energy. No filters, descaling products or subscriptions are needed. When it is a good buy

Value bands from observed pricing: $22 or less is excellent, $23 to $27 is good, $28 to $30 is acceptable, $31 to $35 is weak, and above $35 it is poor value. The manufacturer’s own store listed the CEKS001 at $24.99 in September 2026, inside the good band. [1]
