Summary
An oven-style countertop air fryer with three racks, a rotisserie spit and a windowed door, built for households that want one appliance for air frying, baking, broiling, reheating and dehydrating. Before you buy, plan the spot: it needs at least 2 inches of clearance behind and beside it and must never sit on a stovetop.
Strengths
- Three racks over upper and lower heating elements give real oven capacity.
- A rotisserie spit with a dedicated ROTATE mode cooks a whole chicken hands-off.
- A windowed door and an interior light let you watch food without opening it.
- Most functions need no preheat, and the panel toggles between °F and °C.
- The racks, pan and spit are top-rack dishwasher safe, and the door lifts off.
Weaknesses
- No outlet has instrumented this exact model; the closest lab test found uneven frying.
- The “14-quart” figure is total oven volume split across racks, so big batches need rack swapping.
- Rotisserie capacity tops out at 4 lb, so a large bird will not clear.
- It needs at least 2 in of clearance on the sides and back, which rules out tight spots.
- Hi-Fry is a fixed 2-minute burst, not a sustained 450°F setting.
- The touch panel, the rotisserie gear and long-term reliability are unproven.

How it cooks
Chefman publishes no lab test for this unit, and no outlet has instrumented it. Treat those as family signals about evenness and heat-up, not measurements of the 14-quart model.
Capacity and racks
The “14-quart” figure is the whole oven, split across three rack positions. Chefman’s own recipes spread 1–2 lb across two racks and tell you to swap positions halfway so food browns evenly. Buy it for oven-convection cooking, not for basket-crisper results.
Rotisserie
The spit is rated to 4 lb, and Chefman recommends a 3–3.5 lb trussed chicken so it clears the cavity while rotating. ROTATE is unavailable on Broil, Reheat and Dehydrate. A spit, forks and a fetch tool are in the box.
Cleaning and upkeep
There are no filters, pods or other consumables, so the running cost is electricity from a 1700 W element. The door lifts off at a 45° angle and its glass is hand-wash only; the racks, pan and spit are top-rack dishwasher safe. Chefman’s product page leaves the drip pan out of the dishwasher claim while the manual includes it, so hand-wash that pan to be safe. The manual also warns that fatty foods can produce white smoke, and that overcrowding or skipping the rack swap cooks unevenly.
Is it worth it?
Chefman lists the 14-Quart at $149.99 and Best Buy lists it at $149.99. At that level it competes with Chefman’s own 10-Quart Multifunctional Air Fryer+ at $139.99, which has real lab-test history, so the extra 4 qt buys capacity but unproven evenness. A sibling 13/14-quart model, RJ38-RDO-13P, lists at $114.99 on chefman.com. The Newegg marketplace listing at $249.99 is an outlier to ignore, and there is no parts channel beyond the racks, pan and spit.
Which model this is
This page covers the Chefman 14-Quart Multifunctional Air Fryer+, model RJ38-RDO-14B, black, UPC 810170926143. It is sold under “6-in-1” marketing even though Chefman documents five cooking functions plus a separate ROTATE mode.
Don’t confuse it with two neighbours: the 12-Quart Multifunctional Digital Air Fryer with an integrated smart thermometer, which is a different unit with a different spec sheet, and the sibling RJ38-RDO-13P. The Amazon listing for this model is ASIN B0GTBN7CS2.
