Summary

A budget smart projector with a built-in app store, auto focus and auto keystone, aimed at people who want streaming in one box instead of bolting on a streaming stick. Check the brightness figure before you buy: WiMiUS rates the panel at 600 ANSI while retailer listings push 800 ANSI, and no independent lab has measured either number.

Strengths

  • Built-in app store with Netflix and YouTube, so no streaming stick is needed.
  • Auto focus and auto keystone cut setup down to pointing it at a wall.
  • HDMI 2 with ARC lets a soundbar carry the sound instead of the built-in speakers.
  • Two-way Bluetooth: it can send audio to speakers and also work as a Bluetooth speaker.
  • Wide image range, from 40 in to 150 in, from 1.2 m to 4.6 m away.
  • Registering the unit extends the warranty to 3 years.

Weaknesses

  • Brightness is 600 ANSI by the manufacturer’s own figure; 800 ANSI appears only in retailer copy.
  • Native 1080P, so “4K support” means 4K input on a 1080P panel.
  • No independent test of this model exists, so contrast, color and input lag are unknown.
  • Auto keystone only works within a 15° offset, so placement still decides the picture.
  • Bluetooth audio adds a few hundred milliseconds of delay, and some speakers drop volume in speaker mode.

Brightness, resolution and picture size

WiMiUS states 600 ANSI on the product page and in the manual. The 800 ANSI “peak” figure that shows up in retailer listings has no first-party backing, so plan on 600 ANSI. “4K support” describes what the projector accepts, not what it shows: the panel is native 1080P, so a 4K source arrives downscaled.

The manual gives a 1.39:1 throw ratio with 50% digital zoom and a size table running from 40 in at 1.2 m (4.0 ft) to 150 in at 4.6 m (15.2 ft), with a recommended viewing distance of 6.5–10 ft. Auto keystone only engages inside a 15° offset, so a skewed ceiling or a table that is not square still leaves you correcting the image by hand. Auto focus handles the rest.

Sound, Bluetooth and the built-in apps

Audio is Dolby-branded and HDMI 2 carries ARC, so a soundbar is the clean path for sound. Retailer listings claim 36 W speakers; the manual publishes no wattage, so treat that figure as unverified. The manual also warns that Bluetooth speakers add a few hundred milliseconds of delay and suggests connecting the speaker to the source device instead, which makes Bluetooth a poor choice for lip-sync or gaming. Some Bluetooth speakers drop volume when the projector is used as the speaker.

The built-in app store covers the usual streaming apps; the product title names Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. You sign in with your own accounts, so no subscription is attached to the projector itself. WiFi 6 handles the connection.

Maintenance, temperature and warranty

This is where the manual is unusually specific. The dust filter is removable and there is an internal dust-cleaning port, and WiMiUS asks you to clean the filter every 1–1.5 months. Keep the lens clean and the vents clear.

Warranty is a 3-year extended term once you register by QR code. The base warranty length is not printed in the manual, so do not assume more than the registered term. No parts list, no replacement filter and no lamp life figure are documented, and the LED life is not stated.

Is it worth it?

At or below $200 the feature set is reasonable for a 1080P smart projector. Between $200 and $260 it is fair. Between $261 and $300 it gets thin, and above $300 you are paying for the app store and the automatic setup rather than for picture quality. WiMiUS sells it direct at $299.99 against a $429.99 regular price, with that offer dated through 2026-11-20, and the store page was marked out of stock when checked.

Which model this is

This page covers the WiMiUS P62 Pro, SKU P62PRO, sold as the “Built-in Apps / 4K Support Smart Outdoor Projector with WiFi and Bluetooth”. Only that SKU appears on the manufacturer page, and no color or regional revisions were found. Do not confuse it with the non-Pro P62 or with other WiMiUS projectors sold under similar titles.
