Breville the Fresh & Furious BBL620: problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-05

Summary

Most of what goes wrong with this blender is the lid and the two jobs it cannot do: contents pressurize and can come out of the jar when the lid is pried off, and pureeing scored 4.0/10 because the jug does not heat and the machine is not meant for grinding. There are no filters, pods or subscriptions, so a normal owner spends nothing per year on consumables and only replaces the lid if it breaks; electricity cannot be worked out from the available figures. It is worth buying at $149.95, the level seen at Target and at P.C. Richard & Son in October 2026, and hard to justify at $199.95, the level Abt listed in October 2026.

Common problems and fixes

Warranty: the US term is unresolved. Breville’s US warranty page promises repair, replacement or reimbursement with a pre-paid shipping label and up to 10 business days plus shipping, but prints no duration and points to the product page, which also omits it. Consumer Reports lists 3 years, Breville’s other-region page promises at least one year without listing this model among extended terms, and a two-year US warranty document exists with unconfirmed applicability to the BBL620. Confirm the term in writing at purchase. Cover also excludes commercial use and units not bought from Breville or an authorized reseller. [1][3][4][5]

Parts and consumables

Yearly running cost

Parts and consumables: $0 in a normal year. There is nothing scheduled to replace — no filters, pods or capsules — and the only documented part is the $13.95 lid assembly at Breville US (October 2026), which most owners would buy once, not annually. Electricity: not enough data. The machine is rated at 1100 W with a 1.5 HP peak motor, but the available figures give no blend duration, no number of uses per week and no energy price, so no yearly kWh or dollar figure can be computed from them. Subscriptions: none exist for this machine. Vac Q pumping is a one-off purchase if you buy the pump.
